The basement apartment was nice, cosy and warm. It was also quiet - but it depends on your neighbours. The bed was comfortable and what is important when it's cold - heating was on :) Everything we needed was there. If you smoke you can easily go outside on the small terrace from the living room - no need to go out on the street. Bedroom, kitchen and livingroom were clean. It was about 30 minutes by foot to International Conference Centre.
all reviews » Great apartment - has everything a tired traveler would need, not least a milk&paper shop literally on the doorstep and a fine Nepali restaurant nearby too. Not too far from town, and close to a bracing walk up the crags. Swimming pool/fitness close by too. Very convenient location. Walkable to some of the sight seeing places and very close to city bus stop/taxi stands/shops etc. Absolutely smooth and enjoyable stay. We will definitely stay here again if we get a chance to visit Edinburgh in the future. Spotless apartment and well-equipped. Very friendly and helpful host person. Convenient location as we did not want to be right in the centre of Edinburgh - the apartment is about a mile and a half south of the centre. 5 minute bus ride. great appartment not far from the main attractions of the Old town. We did not used much the kitchen but we enjoyed breakfast at the appartment. We had access to an outdoor terrace that could be very nice in spring/summer. Very close to the city just about a 15min walk! We had a nice little courtyard out the back of our apartment. The apartment has everything we needed, cooking appliances and utensils, washing machine, fridge, freezer. The location was great - an easy 1mile walk to the Royal Mile. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a very 'homey' feel and Gary (the staff member we dealt with), was very knowledgeable and friendly. The apartments are huge and well-equipped with the necessary amenities. Value for money, compared to hotel rates (I'm sure these apartments are larger than hotel rooms). A few bus stops away from the city centre. Good communication leading up to and during our stay. Clean apartments a short bus ride or 10-15 min walk from the Royal Mile. The location was good, bus stop right outside the door. It was clean and well equipped. It was big enough. Well laid out for four people but pull out bed small for two to sleep on. The shower enclosure at the bottom was disgusting - I'm not sure if that was just omitted while cleaning before we moved in - but it really spoiled the good impression of the flat. I hope the owners ensure it's being cleaned in the future. Bloody Edinburgh traffic wardens are the bane of my life. Flat was perfect though!. No major issues just two suggestions: 1. Some of the sofas have a lot of stains and probably can get a face-lift. 2. Washing machine is good but a dryer would also help given the weather. 3. One of the bed rooms which is close to the road side can do with a strong sound proof window. I have nothing negative to say whatsoever. Highly recommended, and we will stay again. nothing!. No car parking at the apartments, though there is a car park 10min walk away. There was nothing I didn't like about this apartment. No elevators in the apartment, hence we have to carry our luggage up the stairs - not very friendly to older visitors. Other than this, an excellent accommodation in Edinburgh. As there is no check-in reception you are unable to leave your bags in any storage after check-out.This is not a big issue as there is bag storage available at the train station if needed. The only thing we didn't like was the view from the living room window overlooking the restaurant roof.It would not stop us using the apartments if we visited again. all i would say is a bigger duvet on the double bed. Everything was first class. No complaints. No phone. Our flat although fine, did not look like the pictures on the website. Bathroom door tended to stick shut, not great when in a place on your own and no mobile phone reception. the fridge is a bit smelly with stagnate water and needs to be cleaned. Once we booked we were then advised that there would be a £300 bound. Some of their other apartments had a £500 bond. We were not the only people to complain to them about this had we been aware of this before we booked we would have looked for something else. They claim it was due to hen parties and stag weekends, we are all being tarred with the same brush being discriminated against- not impressed. No bed sheets or bed covers which really disturbed our sleep and overall comfort!! Due to the roughness of the pillows and duvet it has broke my fiancées face out in a rash!!. Nothing!. The floor in some points was ready to fall. That was scary!. just the car parking is awkward. Please provide correct postcode for Satnav. The one on this site is not correct and takes you to University appartments nearby. It took a member of staff ~15 min to find one and few attempts for us to drive to the right place. Could have been cleaner, although not too bad. Poor parking but only to be expected in somewhere like Edinburgh, shows how close you are to the centre. Def. more positives than negatives though. a few more glasses and knifes in the kitchen would have been great... The bathroom is a little bit smelly. Bed a little uncomfortable One light in living room not working Floor in entrance was in poor repair. Nothing. a bit difficult to find if you're driving as there is no huge signboard for the apartment. Nothing, everything was fantastic!. self catering but had no knives or spoons to eat with. Noisy floors and doors Only one toilet. noisy during night. Apartment could have been cleaner. parking. Very dirty, outdated furniture, smelly, in desperate need of an overhaul. Oh did I say it was very dirty?!!!. basement no sunshine, but noise from upstairs.
