You can easily get into Cheltenham by bus and there are lots of walks in the surrounding countryside. The hotel has a conservatory, bar and restaurant (which we didn't try but the menu looked attractive). There are plenty of books and newspapers if you prefer to stay indoors. A similar distance in the other direction took me to the High Street where I filled my time in the shops and a cafe, and was met with friendliness and courtesty at Reception. From very friendly helpful staff to attention to detail in the room, there is nothing that hasn't been thought of. With so much history and luxury within The Bradley you still get a very comfortable warm feel around the building which can be lost in some establishments.
