This luxurious place is amazingly well-run, and the management is clearly detail-oriented and guest-oriented from the moment you arrive and receive a friendly and helpful introduction to the room, with good in-room materials and features (coffee and teamaker). Staff were very professional, friendly and polite. We arrived late at night after work, so not dressed up at all, we were treated exactly the same as all the other guests, impressed, thank you. The spa was quite small and the outside door just outside our bedroom continuously closed very loudly as people walked in late at night waking us up each time. Nothing. Rain. The prices in the spa were very expensive - I booked an express pedicure for £45 and only got my toenails filed and polished. I know living in London that I can get a full pedicure for this price and even a bit less. Be wary of their prices for treatments in the spa. A bit expensive but that would not stop me returning. Extremely expensive. Meal was a little slow due to a wedding. Nothing. It was truly perfect. A bit 'up itself' - seemed like a place for people who wanted to be seen. Some of the staff, whilst giving excellent service, were a bit too 'over-starched' & formal. I requested thsat a bottle of champagne was in my room when I arrived and despite checking with reception when I checkedin, it wasn't. No indoor swimming pool. Needs more fires and lounges more welcoming to relax in. This would greatly increase feeling of welcome.
