Ideal location, as the main reason for our trip to Blackpool was to visit the Pleasure Beach and the hotel was very close. Our room was comfortable and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Freindly staff, great location just away from the hustle and bustle of the golden mile if you want to relax, but saying that, it is still a great location for all the attractions in blackpool.

No negatives . no telephone in the room. there was no bath for the kids, only a very small shower which they couldn't use as they are very young.the shower was very small and didnt have hot water, only luke warm. As me and my partner are both tall, we had to crouch to have a shower. It was very small, with not much space. leaving.When hotel is full, hot water was limited or non existant, making it impossible to have a shower before we went out. would prefer public internet access, as our laptop was not working and were able not use internet. it seemed old in the decor and carpets. Nothing i didn't like but the hotel room was a small bit pokey and there was just 2 small windows that opened and that left the room quite hot and stuffy at times.Rooms are a little small and rather dated. Food excellent. Very basic no shower gels etc. Although warm,clean and tidy some of the rooms could do with redecorating and updating eg replacing of cracked sink and tiles in bathrooms.

The Colwyn Hotel is situated on the seafront at the New South Promenade at Blackpool. It is a much quieter part of Blackpool away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. Despite this, it is only a short tram, bus ride or taxi ride from all the nightlife, casinos and clubs. The famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach fun park is less than a 100 metres from the front door.

By Car:
- Take the M55 (from the M6) towards Blackpool.
- At the end of the motorway, turn left towards Blackpool Airport.
- Keep going past the airport, which should be on your left, until you meet the seafront.
- Turn right onto the Promenade. Look out for the hotel on the right-hand side, about 800 metres along. The Colwyn is a corner property with a large car park at the front.
