I have been to Turkey 3 times, this was the best hotel experience that I ever had, it started when we arrived very early to chack in and the gentleman didnt do like other hotels asking us to comeback when our rooms will be ready, he simply upgraded us to see view room for free as he saw my parents are old to go & comeback, hotel was extremely clean , I never so this even in 5 stars hotels, the hotel owner helped me in money exchange and I got betting than the market rates, location was sooo.

I got up early to see sunrise in the rooftop and went to Blue Mosque almost everyday during the vacation. Moreover, It's very convenient to live in this hotel as it is surrounded by many restaurants with Traditional Turkish features. If it is possible, I will live in Marmara Konak Old City again when come to Istanbul next time. Hotel is located in the old town so locationi s perfect for sightseeing. Semih hotel manager is really nice and prepared to help you in any request you have.Rooms are all new and really clean and hotel has nice terance with a prefect view on sea. A bright new renovated "guesthouse" hold by Semih who's very kind and helpful. Not far away from the Blue Mosque, with possible view on the Marmara Sea from some rooms or from the terrace on the top of this 3 floors building. Located in a quiet street next to a busy neighbourhood with restaurants and hotels. You may have a fresh local beer or eat just next door in a nice an calm place. The guest house was very nicely decorated, very comfortable and quietly stylish. Free wifi as always is a great asset. Breakfast was by arrangement with the hotel across the road on a lovely rooftop terrace. Friendly bar and restaurant next door as well. Helpful owner. The taxi found it difficult to find, so good to call the owner just before you arrive in the city. This hotel is located in a wonderful place, few minutes away from major sightseeings by feet and with a beutiful seaview at the same time. Surroundings are pretty quiet. Close to wonderful small restaurants. The host is incredible - he tried to follow all our needs and was extremely helpful. The room is spacious. Great value for money! Definetely will stay here again. nicely located in the Old City, in quiet area, within the walking distance to all places of interest and easy access to public communication small but comfortable and clean rooms, helpful owner, breakfast is served in the restaurant next door but that doesn't bother at all. The nearness to tourist sites in Sultanahmet- Blue Mosque, AyaSophia etc. The keeper arranged my Bosphorous tour. guy taking care the place was very friendly. No sign board but understood later that they are renovating some parts of the hotel. Nothing, everything was as expected even better. The guest house was very nice all round, no complaints. Istanbul itself is very touristy and hard to battle the queues to see the main sights, plus agressive sales techniques in restaurant streets. We went to the Asian side though - 20 mins boat ride, 3 lire, and a very different, more chilled feel with lovely food market. Everything was excellent, especially for this price level. the place was quite difficult to find, there's no hotel name outside on the last day we were allowed to keep the room keys until 2 p.m., but when we came back to the hotel after lunch, the room door was wide open with our luggage inside. There was no restaurant within. It was under renovation. i was expecting hotel, but it was a kind of guest room or apartment having no lobby no reception.
