Our room in this massive hotel was very comfortable and clean. We chose a family room - an L shaped room with 2 double beds plus a couch and kitchen area. The hotel has multiple pool areas with numerous comfortable pool loungers. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of good quality. The gym is very well equipped. We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and got free upgrate to sunwing pool access room. overall it was great experience. big resort, nice pools and Belgian caffee is in there. the room was spacious, cleaning was fair. location is good. would love to go back again.
all reviews » When we arrived to book into our room we received a free upgrade to the Sunset Building which was stunning. The room and bathroom was beautiful and we had access to the pool from our back door as well as a personal spa. good location you can view beach from the rooms and from some rooms, excellent and huge swiming pools, good facilities, overall very relaxing. the hotel is huge and sapcious. fitness gym and bowling is also very nice. the Sunset wing, beautiful rooms the breakfasts the ten pin bowling beautiful pools prompt room service the range of activities that you can do at the hotel for kids. Tour desk,elvis impersonator guy at tour desk,belgian beer cafe and sky bar all staff great! Chubb security staff great,we will tell friends, we will be back. Great location and pools. The hotel was pretty much full, but it didn't feel crowded. We were upgraded to the sunset wing. Rooms were spacious and spotless. The place is just near the beach and sea, the room is very comfort, and access to swiming pool is fantastic. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good also. very good value for money ,excellent food and transport always available and rooms very spacious and everything is just great especially breakfast. The location is very good, not too far from where everything is happening, yet not too close either. The pool was nice and the omelettes and musli for breakfast. Nothing I like it in this hotel except the big and luxury reception hall. And every thing else was bad. This is a vey large hotel so you would he disappointed if you were looking for any peace and quiet. The majority of the guests are large Aussie families with numerous noisy children. As the hotel has so many people to feed at breakfast time, it's a bit like feeding time at a large institution- very noisy, bustling and it's also difficult to get a table. the bathroom had a bad smell and the only solution hotel's staff offered was air freshener. food quality is average. pool towels were not changed on daily basis. little expensive, no wifi in the room. wifi is expensive to buy. room cleaning to be improved. expensive food items and drinks. room service is slow in peak hours. toilet blocking at times. Internet should be free for guests in room not just lobby,music at pool bar a bit loud. Laundry in the hotel is very expensive. Staff, other than reception, do not speak English-but that's pretty much true for any part of Thailand. The free dinner was bad, and lunch and dinner in the hotel is not the perfect. Nothing it is good value for money and we had a great time !!!. They have to provide Free high speed Internet inside rooms. To revise prices in restaurants within the hotel. Entry. Internet service.courtsy level at lower staff level po. There were a lot of mosquito, during check out they were cheating by adding some extra charge for things I didn't use. Be careful. Finally the noise from restaurants was annoying. Pool Lounges should be renovated. I paid per room not per person. Upon arrival I ended up paying another 13000bht for another person and another bed, even though the room had 3 beds and there were 3 people in the room (they charged me for an extra bed). Also it does not state on the website that the bowling and extra activities are at an additional cost. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone when it comes to value for money. The bed is very hard, twin room or double room was not as we expected - the beds were too small to fit the children. We had to pay extra for children breakfast . do not book any trip , car rent or show via the hotel as those are 3 times more expensive. Breakfast got boring and just too busy. Staff not as friendly as past visits to Thailand. Prices around the hotel fair but rooms overpriced. Loud music from swimming pool bar. Total chaos in the breakfast area. Needs to be twice the size to to accommodate that many people. Maybe set up more tables outside. The staff wasn't the friendliest, and everything you ask for is extra charge, internet, cards etc. Room service took forever to come and clean our room. The service was bad, the employees were extremely rude. Our air conditioner was leaking one night and my girlfriend slipped over cutting her arm, the workers didn't have any sympathy and didn't even upgrade us to a room we would of liked instead just shoved us to the room next door. Very disappointed with the hotel this time. Not very clean. Saw mice. It woud appear that more attention has been paid to new section and old section of hotel has been reduced in clenliness and service. The staff dealing in bad way with us. AC noisy the pillows have very bad smell and all the hotel buildings smell is very bad like the toilets smell. Old furniture and every thing bad. Specially the reception staff was very bad in dealing. our stay in this hotel was disaster.
