The location is ideal - central to all the night markets & the Night Bazaar itself. The swimming pool is obviously the focal point of the resort, but the overall layout, rooms, and restaurant are all worthy of a mention in their own right. The service staff are very reliable, honest, friendly and open to a bit of a chat - most welcoming. If you are into drinking & massages Loi Kroh Road is within easy walking distance. The opportunity to meet international travellers should not be un.
all reviews » The layout of the guesthouse was excellent - swimming pool, restaurant area, and reception area. The restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. The cleaning staff were very friendly. Most of the reception staff were friendly, but all were efficient with their service. The food was reasonable without being outstanding. My room up-grade was good with wi-fi access in the room most convenient. All facilities were in good working order. Would book again. Reasonably sized, but unheated, swimming pool with padded loungers provided free of charge. A short walk from the main town, bars, restaurants, etc. Rooms are arranged in a courtyard around the pool. Taxi drivers know where this hotel is. Excellent location, close to the old city and the night market (in between). Very nice pool. The room standard is good when considering the price. Have stayed @ Lai Thai for a number of years . Never used booking .com before but it was also excellent & will use again Regards Brian . Laundry was easy and cheap. POOL is good. If you like mosquitoes, crap shower, hot aircon, filthy dirty smelly mattress, rude staff and drinking water from the tap then stay at this crappy hotel. Or if prefer quality and value for money (same price) then change to the Wangburapha across the road, even if you have already paid the crappy Lai Thai like we did. Do not book this hotel, book the lovely Wangburapha instead. Wifi and swimming pool were not bad. Location is good. A slight concern in that the day reception staff were nowhere near as friendly as the service staff - either in conversation or personality. Apart from that there was nothing else that warranted any criticism. My first room allocation was out the back - some of the guests in the first week were noisy 'til 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning [both male & female guests]. Dark and dated rooms with frosted (so no views) and slated glass windows. Very expensive laundry service (we needed a lot cleaned and it would have cost 900 baht, instead we went out to a laundry just down the road and paid 100 baht). That I couldnt have service from the restaurant at the pool area. Just a small thing. should have fan in room along with a/c. the air conditioner took time to cool.also hot water mixer was not mixing properly and was too hot. Room was rather small, no table for computer. Too much noise; room next door having work done and people talking out on balcony till 2a.m. without staff intervention on behalf of other guests. - bed was so hard that even the wooden floor was softer than the matras - rooms have no windows that can be closed, so noisy. The room was terribly old and outdated. We did not belongings in our room and carried them everywhere. The bathroom was atrocious. Air Conditioner in room not cooling much. Bathrooms and room dirty. Room old-fashioned and breakfast bad and scarce.
