I have a home in Thailand, and I often pass through Bangkok going to/from North When I stay on the Sukhumvit side of town, I often stay at the President Palace, which is very central and only 1/2 a block off of Sukhumvit Road. However, on a recent stay I had friends staying at the "Phachara Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok" and I joined them. That being said, I am now back for my second visit to the "Phachara Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok." The room price/value is exceptional. The rooms are new, fresh, great.
all reviews » The rooms were excellent with kitchenette, washing machine and great decor, two televisions one in sitting area and one in bedroom. I arrived for an early check in after a night flight and the reception staff were accomadting and made a special effort to get me a room with a balconey ( as requested) a soon as possible. Duly got the room after 30 minutes . Great location for entertainment and restaurants. Secuirty good. Seven eleven store just over the road for food and drinks. This the 3. Time I stay im this hotel and I really like it. The Rooms are very big and clean. The Bed and Pillows are very confortable. There was a modern Electrolux Kitchen and even a Siemens Wash and Dry washing machine. The Location is good and not far from BTS. I could not hear any noise from the street or night life. The room was very spacious and all of the facilities and resources mentioned in their letsbookhotel.com posting were provided. Breakfast was excellent but it would be good to change the daily menu a little so that people like us who stayed there a week would get some variety. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartment was perfect for us. The bed was so comfortable. There is a washing machine, iron etc. The hotel staff were very efficient, the doorman was always very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance from Nana train station, also loads of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is good as location in nana street and facility provided TV channels are very clear and have channels for kids and adult I recommended this hotel for family Better to book the hotel from letsbookhotel.com because it will be cheaper than to book from the hotel itself. Location, Location, Location Beside of that, you have nice large room with wooden floor and nice spacious bathroom, good value for money, nice quite large pool, easy access to BTS/MRT sky train or Metro, night life around the corner, shoping malls close by...just great!. Staff was helpful; kept my large bag in storage for two days for no extra charge, even though I checked out and went to another island (Koh Chang). When I returned to BKK, I picked up my bag and went straight to the airport. Good breakfast. The hotel is excellent right behind the busy Sumkhuvit. It is 5 minutes walk from the Skytrain and close to the netwoek of highways. It's far from the tourist area of the Royal Palace etc. Food is excellent. Nearby restaurants plenty. Good location to all big shopping center's and the Nana Sky Train Station. I have been a few time in this hotel and every time it was excellent, the staff are very helpfull day and night,I can highly recomment it to anyone. Staff were helpful and the hotel in general was clean. Convenient location on Sukhumvit 6, quiet, but close to good nightlife. Convenient tour desk located in the lobby where you can arrange trips and tours on short notice. The staff are excellent. Always smiling, friendly and helpful. I arrived early at 0800 but they let me use the pool which has a couple of nice comfortable sofa type chairs .Then arranged arranged a room upgrade for me . Kitchen,washing machine and the comfy n fluffy pillow. The washing machine is good for ppl who didn't bring many clothes so that they can use it to wash the clothes that they just bought to wear it almost immediately. Friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel rooms are fantastic. Large, modern and clean. Located near bars, clubs, restaurants and street food stalls. Close to the skyrail so easy to get into the old centre and airport. The staff at the reception were very cooperative and helpful especially while I was arranging to send business samples and materials overseas through DHL . Also, the management allowed me a late checkout (2:30 pm)!!. This was our 4th stay at Phachara. It is consistently good, handy location to Skytrain, very roomy suite and attentive staff. This has become our regular location when we stay in Bangkok. I highly recommend it. Large suite with living room, kitchen, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. The AC in the Rooms are a bit noisy. Very difficult to get a taxi to take us to other parts of the city even though the hotel staff worked valiantly to help us get one. This is not the hotel's fault though. I did not like the noise from the other apartment. We had to call reception to ask them to speak with the people next door, as this was late at night. Children were playing in the lift, also a suggestion that children are not allowed in the restaurant without supervision. Although we like the hotel and the facilities, we will not stay there again because of the noise from undisciplined and unruly children, the parents let the children run wild with no concern to other people staying there. Food variety is very less. Breakfast is not what a 4* should offer, every day same items, coffee is bad etc,.., but ok, ou can survive on that! The pool area is without Tropical flowers or small trees...little details which would give you the feeling the hotel cares more about his guests. Access to main road could have been closer; no real complaints. The staff spoke English but with great difficulty. none. The location is about 5-8mins walk to the Nana BTS.Can be terrible when the sun is scorching. No shopping malls nearby to shop and not near to any food stalls. Near to lots of pubs which is definitely not suitable for family with young children.. The night shift duty manager was reluctant and refused to allow me late checkout but the daytime duty manager was kind enough to grant me the permission !! Also , the hotel van that took me to airport did not turn meter askingore money other than decided earlier with the management . This was on 7th June at 2:30 pm !!!. No door between living room and bedroom. Breakfast buffet not big collection of food & sweet but good food I prefer add more collection of sweet. spa burnt me when waxing eyebrows expensive tours. Nothing. Breakfast ok but I have had much better variety. Pricing of additional services such as day trips and taxi to airport is rediculous - about 2x plus the going rate. Paying for wifi is not verry guest friendly. Sorry to say that the room service staff (the cleaner) is not friendly at all, we mention to the receptionist that we broke the wine glass and agree to pay for the glass however maybe the front office forget to inform the cleaner and the cleaner threat us like we dont want to pay the glass. Some suggestion the breakfast should be more variety. - no free wifi in 2013 ? Best is to buy an air card from True Wifi at the airport or in a shop, about 900B/month. Wireless should be included in price of hotel. The internet was incredibly slow. Nothing. Some nights when returning to my room security questioned my girlfriend (who is a registered guest) if she is a bar girl???? Maybe need to review this policy. cumbersome free WiFi system. As muslem person, I would like to see a sign sticked on the selling showing , holy Quaba. there was a leak from the sink in the bathroom, there was a plumber that said that he fixed the problem. the next morning the whole bathroom floor was wet again. the next day they changed our room. Breakfast not included. wifi was inadequate. no air-con in corridors. Difficult to buy original Thai coffee. No shop inside hotel. NO wifi in rooms ....very inconvenient these days !. Surrounded by "red light" district. 3% charge to pay with credit card and unfavorable exchange rate. Advice: pay in cash if you can!. Our unit had a washer/dryer but the dryer would NOT work..and we had to leave with a bag full of soaking wet clothes. Couldn't turn down air-conditioner.
