Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure your needs are met and you are well looked after. From getting around the city to preparing a very early breakfast before you leave for the airport. This was my 3rd stay at the hotel and it is consistently excellent. The Spa and rooftop pool overlooking the city - Spectacular!!. Staff were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and efficient. On arrival late at night I asked them for a meeting room for the next morning and it was arranged within ten minutes. Room was spacious and well appointed. I didn't try the pool or spa but I will next time. This is an absolutely top class hotel.
all reviews » The staff were amazing with a really good service with attention to detail e.g. walking you to the room and explaining the facilities, taking us on a tour of the old brewery machinery. The Spa was outstanding so different to the normal hotel spa's i've visited. The establishment is unique and beautiful and just a short walk into the city centre. Our room and bed was extremely comfortable, the perfect way to end our European holiday. The staff are young and very keen to help, which is much appreciated. I stayed here for one night to kick off a week in Switzerland. The staff was amazingly friendly, the spa was exceptional, and the setting was magnificent! I was also given a lovely surprise birthday cake and card as I was there on my birthday. All in all a great experience, a minor disappointment was the spa which was open to public as well and it got really crowded in the evening of young/teen couples making out. First thing in the morning it was pleasantly quiet. This hotel is amazing, the design and the rooms are very nice, Staff are friendly and helpful specially the manager. Our room was great. It was spacious and very comfortable. Dark really means dark when you shut the curtains. It is very quiet. The breakfast is fabulous as are the staff. The girls at the front desk were excellent and made us felt at home from the moment we arrived. Everything. The design of the hotel, the rooms, the concept of transforming an old bier factory into a design hotel. The spa (separated from the hotel). Since they are an eco-friendly hotel, they manage the room temperatures (air conditioning) within a range. If it is in the heat of summer, your room may not be cold enough to your liking. But just open the windows and get fresh Swiss air!. Breakfast was very basic and needed much more variety, considering the cost of the room. The dining area is in a large library, hence no intimacy. It's very different. Nothing!. spa in the evening. Car parking is not free, hotel location is not in the city centre so if you dont have your own car it will be little annoying reaching the hotel. The one thing they might tell you is the quick way to get to the hotel. It is actually no more than 5 min from the nearby trainstation. Perhaps they can put up a sign. The waitress we had for dinner was not good. I felt the service was poor and her knowledge of wine inadequate for the price of the food. View from the suites (dark, view to opposite office building). Price was high, but not terrible and certainly worth it; location was great but not in the center of it all, but it was fine for us but maybe not someone who can't walk far or if it's during the winter. Location is little bit isolated from the city. Restaurant menu is not great and the food is just ok. Feels like canteen food which is a pity as the restaurant area and the staff are really nice. swimming pool on the roof was way too small - would like to have more spaces to sit and relax. Limited catering facility, no bar area and no MP3 speaker dock in the room. That the Spa is public, so quite busy in weekends. food was mediocre, not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. the over intimate couples in the Spa!. The bill/Leaving!. All the signs(indications) and brochures about spa treatments are only in German, nevertheless the fact that there are 4 official languages in Switzerland. there is no ambiance or atmosphere in the restaurant-bibilotèque. There should be some music or something else. The fact that the spa is not connected to the hotel. The day of departure you need to change your clothes in the hotel's toilets or in a business room ! We had no heater the day we stayed and the hotel management did not even consider a reduction of the 300+ chf room. ...
