The Monazit Apartmenthaus ist situated in a very quiet and central location in Zermatt, just a 10-minute walk or a 2- to 5-minute bus ride away from the cable car and train stations.
You can choose from 2 fully equipped studios with kitchenette for up to 3 people and a 2 1/2-room apartment with a kitchen for up to 5 people. All boast a south-facing balcony.
You can have breakfast (on request) at the Astoria hotel, which is only a 1-minute walk away from the Monazit apartments.
In the neighbourhood there are several sport shops where equipment for summer and winter sports can be bought or rented. There is a little supermarket and a bakery round the corner.
Around the corner also buses leave for the train station, for the Sunnegga Express and for the Klein Matterhorn cable car.
The Bahnhofstrasse (main street) with many boutiques, shops and restaurants is only a 5-minute walk away from the Monazit Appartementhaus.

It was in a perfect position, close to the centre of Town and the chairlifts. While this place isn't modern, it had a certain charm. The location was perfect - one stop on the bus to either of the main ski areas. Also a minute or two walk to the main street. So location was perfect!!!. The apartment was in an excellent location and we were very surprised how big it was. We were very pleased with this apartment and the price and would recommend it. It is very old fashioned, as are most rooms in Zermatt, but clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were also excellent. We visit Zermatt several times every year and this is our favourite apartment so far. all reviews »
The apartments are a short walk uphill from the lifts and just aroundthe corner from many of the evening's entertainment locations. The staffwas extremely friendly and the hotel's free taxi was extremely nice.I suggest to repeat my experience of stay at the called Appartementhaus.... However, it is difficult to treat my family as one of old age (I'm mountain climber despite my 56). It has a kitchen.The pictures aren't exactly accurate but you get the idea... I wish it was this price all season!. It would have been nice if there was something like olive oil or evensalt and pepper in the cupboards. If it is still there, I left some forthe rest of you. There is no microwave.

Information about the area
It is located in the centre of Zermatt, 2 minutes from the main street and the church and just around the corner of Hotel Astoria. From there it takes 5-8 minutes walk to reach the Little-Matterhorn cable car station. In front of the building there is a bus stop with a bus that goes to all skiing/hiking areas and the train station. Next door you can rent equipment for winter and summer sports.
