I feel quite fortunate to have stumbled upon this little gem of a hotel situated in the alpine village of Wengen. The staff are all excellent, friendly and helpful and really made our stay even better. I like the fact that Hotel Caprice is not a large hotel because the service feels much more personal. You get to know the people working hard to make your stay so enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with outstanding views. We appreciated the privacy and quietness of the surroundings.
all reviews » The staff is exemplary and the views are stunning. Annamarie and Justin are engaging and accommodating hosts while Carlos looks after every detail in the dining room. The hotel offers very easy access to the Kleine Scheidegg and the Jungfraujoch and has the most incredible views of the Jungfrau and the waterfalls along the Lauterbrunnen Valley walls. Very highly recommended. Our room was perfect for our two young kids with phenomenal views of Jungfrau and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The staff were fantastic and the food was perfection. We ate every meal (breakfast and dinner) at the hotel. Worth every penny. Food at the restaurant was really really good. Hotel is very pretty and Annemarie and Carlos were extremely helpful and friendly. Would totally recommend it and will be happy to stay there again!. The staff is great and you feel immediate welcome in this mountain paradise with nice style rooms and very near to shops and the train station to jungfrau it is a great place to relax and enjoy. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, the bed was comfortable, the food was delicious and it was just a few steps from the Wengen train station. Justin, our host, was amazing!. I loved the boutique style of the hotel - cozy-chic, an amazing mixture of design and fitting in the bucolic environment. We liked the location and the view from our room. The breakfast was pretty good too. None. If I have my way, I'm coming back next year. That we had to leave. Nothing it was all perfect!. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!!. Perhaps more food variety could have been offered rather than just one option. The wi-fi is spotty - it worked well in the lobby (when it was turned on), and sometimes did not work in the rooms. Missed the niceties of other small leading hotels . Nothing. sauna/changing area is shared by males and females, made it a little uncomfortable. Price much too high for the value given (even for swiss standards). Could only stay 3 days. Only one small suggestion for improvement....a kettle in room for tea..(instead of minibar) .to sip whilst enjoying the spectacular view from the room after skiing or sauna...but this is standard in Swiss hotels that it is not provided. Alcohol can be enjoyed downstairs by the fireside bar. The staff was unfriendly and condenscending. The room was old and without alot of the standard things we come to expect when paying a high price. Things like no electrical outlet in the bathroom. Dvd player did not work and the internet was not available in the room like we were told. We would not stay there again nor would we refer to others.

Please note that Wengen is a car-free village. You can reach Wengen only by train. Park your car at Lauterbrunnen Station and take the train to Wengen. The train ride to Wengen takes approximately 20 minutes. It runs every 25 minutes during the day and every hour in the evening until 24:00.
