All rooms have a balcony. The south-facing rooms offer views of the North Face of the Eiger. The daily breakfast includes fresh local products and is available in the breakfast room which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Free WiFi access is available in Hotel Lauberhorn’s public areas. The Finnish sauna can be used at a surcharge. Tickets and ski passes are available at the reception. Calm, quiet, extremely great view with all the mountains around, close to the village but not too close, close to the walking trails, free internet, the BBQ on saturdays, the friendly staff. It is a truly fantastic hotel; clean, tastefully decorated, stylish, comfortable and had a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.Everything was AMAZING!!! The people were very nice, helpful, and go out of their way to make everything perfect. The breakfast was fantastic too.

The distance from town centre however, the hotel provides rides to and from the train station. no TV in the room but they have a TV room on the first floor that was just fine. Returning by ski turns out to be somewhat of a burden.Pillows weren't very comfortable/supportive. odor of toilet. The buses stopped running after 6pm so it was a hike to get back tothe hotel. View from my room wasn't the best, probably room with the worst view among their available rooms. Read about lots of complimentary comments about view...well?? The room was smelled awful when I entered, and I found out that it was from potpourri to make air fresher..., hmmm...I don't think everyone will like this smell...in the middle of Alps!!. Car parking tricky given the tightly packed car park. The walking distance to the railway station is close to 2 km. Thecafe/restaurant belt is probably 1 km away, which might raise someconcern for those who doesn't like walk. However, for me the walk ispleasant with scenic view from the Alpine village and mountain. There isa bus stop right in front of the hotel also.If possible,TV set in the room in oder to get informations. The smell of the toilet in the room. Rooms were quite basic but worked okay. the hotel was quite a way from the centre of town and the station - 15 minutes walk down hill, but a 20 minute walk all uphill back to the hotel - quite tiring after a long day walking or a night out at a restaurant. The room lacked a separate bathroom.too far from the station without any information of how to go. really the hotel is far away from the station and bus service is only from 07:38 am to 07:00 pm . the hotal staff there are two vwry nice persons and one very bad and non coopertive ( in charge ) and very nice (driver ).

During winter season, every Saturday the restaurant cooks a homemade cheese fondue with boiled potatoes and bread as well as a salad starter (for additional charge).

Conny and Beni Kaufmann took over the Hotel Lauberhorn from the Howald family in May 2005. Since then, the traditional chalet-style hotel is under constant remodelling, following a colourful and fun-oriented lifestyle concept. Located in a large chalet on an alp overlooking Grindelwald, it has spectacular views to the Eiger mountain range and is an ideal base for walking, biking and skiing, as paths and slopes literally pass the hotel. We have a bright breakfast room, chill-out room with a breathtaking view, bar, a media centre (TV, free internet corner and WLAN throughout the whole house), a in-house Finnish sauna and ample car parking. Just in front of the Hotel Lauberhorn there is the bus stop from which you can get to the First station in 3 minutes or to the train station for Kl. Scheidegg in 5 minutes. (Ski bus in winter is free of charge.) During the high season in winter the night bus runs until 23:00. For mountain biking enthusiasts: - Bike tours with professional guides (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) - Daily laundry service for your bike dress (for free) - Locked storage room, bike wash corner and bike workshop - Bike trail map - Mountain bike rental available nearby

Important information to guests

Pick-up is possible from the train station at Grindelwald on the day of arrival. Please inform the hotel in advance about your arrival time and call the property upon arrival (pick-up is only possible between 15:00 and 21:15). Please note that the booking confirmation entitles you to a free ride in a local bus from the main train station Grindelwald to the hotel. A late check-in from 21:00 to 23:00 is possible at an additional fee. Check-in after 23:00 is not possible. Please note that Wi-Fi is free for 1 device per person only. Any additional device is subject to a surcharge. Please inform Hotel Lauberhorn in advance of your expected arrival time. Information about the area

The hotel is located on the sunny side of the Grindelwald valley in complete tranquillity, about 15 minutes walk downhill to the village (train station Bäreplatz) or 5 minutes by bus which stops right outside the hotel (ski bus during winter season is free of charge).

You will have a spectacular view of the Eiger mountain range and it is ideal for walking, biking and skiing as the path literally passes the hotel.

We have a big car park in front of the hotel (free of charge for hotel guests) and in summer you are very welcome to relax in our nice garden with sun chairs or have a drink at our wooden table.
