Love the apartment. Has all the convenience of home. Bathtub, washer, dryer, oven, fridge, toaster, micro, living room, sitting room, sitting patio with a million dollar view of 3 mountains up close. Hotel provided transport to and from the train station which is impt cos grindelwald is built on sloping hills. Free wifi provided at hotel though u can get wifi at the apt at additional cost of a daily rental of a hot spot device. hourly bus from main road to around grindelwald hotel.
all reviews » Fantasic view from large terrace towards Eiger and Upper Glacier. In prettier more traditional part of Grindelwald, with lovely walk through the meadows to the centre. Attached hotel with very helpful staff, WIFI and pick-up service from station. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Its very spacious and elegantly decorated. Good facilites and more important, greatest mountain view. Location excellent for anyone with car. Excellent view of mountains frombalcony.kitchen well equipped if wanted to eat in which we did. The apartment we stayed in was absolutely fantastic. The views from the apartment were amazing and the staff very accomodating. Looking forward to do it again and enjoy the view of the mountains .. (better than interlaken). The view was unbelievable and the location is spectacular. It is near major attractions. The appartments are well maintained and have nice views of the mountains. the location of hotel is away from town. very secluded. Great place would recommend to anybody. Surrounded by mountains and quiet. before we check in, everthing is perfect, the reception helps us a lot and replied email very quikly. They also provide us the train detail and taxi service, which lead to good services. The only thing I did not like was the walk to and from,the bus stop cos it's sloping uphill. Quite near and ok for abled body person. Nothing. Nothing to complain. Inability to park car at apartment. Not all hotel facilities may be available if booking in the low season. Check with hotel website prior to booking as bookings.com gave no indication of this. The location is a little far from town. The hotel didn't indicate that it was partially closed during time of booking. Thus transport to town was a little problematic with reduced frequency of the public bus during the stay. Fairly far distance from the train station. Bus is 1 hrly and last bus is about 6.50 p.m. Will have to rush if need to catch the last bus or else need to walk up uphill. however, after we check out, we sent email to the hotel to look for the missing item and confusion of the extra fee, they do not reply the email anymore. Now, i am still confusing for the extra fee that taken by the hotel from my bank accout. Staff at reception but only in first day.
