Hotel D’s rooms were fully-renovated in February 2016 and are equipped with LED-backlit LCD TVs with laptop connections, as well as LED rain showers. They offer panoramic views over the Old Town and the Rhine River. A rich continental breakfast including many organic products and fair trade coffee is served in the morning. Hotel D - Basel also includes a sauna and a modern fitness studio with Technogym equipment. The Messe Basel convention centre is a 5-minute walk away, and Basel Main Train Station can be reached by tram in 10 minutes.

A modern design hotel in downtown Basel, excellent location close to the tram, shops, restaurant and main sights. Hotel staff was friendly and the room itself beautifully designed. The bed was ultra comfortable, even pillows way better than in most hotels. Breakfast was was good and had a bit of everything for every taste, and the fact that it was served until 11 am at least during the weekend was a big plus. Being a regular guest in Basel for business, it is definitely a hotel which I will be adding to my top list of possible hotels to stay at as it certainly offers value for money. First the staff really excellent The hotel modern and the room cozy location can't be better at hart of basel resturant shopping no need for car my advice to stay at basel and go europark 1hr10 min. The Reception area was unattended twice at about 21:15. Could not get my key to get in my room. Could not check in. Went to dinner instead. Rooms are a bit small. Expensive.... The room was too small. tiny rooms, too hot without heat control, average breakfast. No bar. Bit noisy up till 1am from room above. Sounded like someone exercising both nights. Struggled with not having an ice machine or a kettle nearby. Felt like the room was a bit smaller than advertised. Small room, breakfast buffet expensive and not included. Overheated Constant interruptions from room cleaning staff who knock and then walk in one millisecond later. They need better training as this became very irritating.
