Clean hotel, friendly and helpful stuff, good location close to university and city centre, beatiful view to the cathedral from my room (4th floor). Self-service coffee, tea and free cookies and friuts 24h/day. Free WiFi avaliable in the rooms. Excellent breakfast. Live flowers in the room!. During our stay there were works as they were installing an elevator and changing carpets. When they finish it will be a cosy and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was good and we found pleasant the possibility of taking a tea, a coffe or a biscuit at any moment.
all reviews » Apart from being clean, well situated and friendly, this hotel has an academic atmosphere. Little corners to sit in (and discuss the world?), classical music in the breakfastroom... small reminicences of academic life that are very pleasant. The location is fantastic - just around the corner from the cathedral. The rooms are plain but comfortable. There is a kitchen which guests can use. Tea and coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day. Wonderfully compact, well-designed and comfortable room. My two small Dachshunds were made welcome. A lovely breakfast enjoyed outside in the cheery breakfast area. Breakfast was excellent and location is ideal for the University. The hotel includes cooking facilities which would be great for guests staying for a longer period. We payed 87 euros and I found it a bit expensive as the hotel is a bit worn out. The place itself is very central and remember to ask for a room towards the inner yard (not towards the street as it can be noisy and the room is rather hot without no air conditioning). We arrived late and as the reception closes at 22 hours, they send us t. Convenuent location. The Location in the city was very nice and convenient for the centre. The works for installing an elevator and new carpets. We recommend this hotel highly, but be aware that the bathroom is a bit cramped with very little space to put toiletries. Street noise; lack of fridge in room (neither were major problems). Rooms are not conditioned. The house is quiet, but there's a lot of traffic on the street next to building: you will wake up 6am if your room is on the wrong side of hotel. Rooms advertised as being "double rooms" actually contained two single beds pushed together. According to some websites this is normal in European hotels but we'd have preferred a double bed!. A little pricey, but Sweden is not for bargain hunters. Traffic noise on front side of hotel. Certainly on the line between a hostel and a hotel, so if you want the complete hotel service experience you might look elsewhere, but still has all you need at a good price. Beds were a bit small. That I couldn't stay any longer!. shower and WC VERY small space. quite noisy room, would choose rooms with garden view next time. Streetlight in window (get room higher than 2nd floor if on street). Wi-fi didn't work in my room (406) on any device (iphone, ipad, macbook). Requested a comment, the receptionist said wi-fi was "tricky" (knepig). I didn't get a discount for the inconvenience, though. No tea pot/coffee maker in the room. wi-fi was weak - my phone kept disconnecting and reconnecting. (It's only a little thing but you did ask!). The drying machine did not dry our clothes well. TV has no Russian channel. Nothing. Mattress gave back pain. Although advertised as having wi fi, there was no signal in the room I had been allocated, I tried the signal in various places and discovered that at best it was weak in the most public of area's Although there was an attempt to assist in the problem it proved to be less than practicle. I would remove wi fi from your advertisement. Because had I known that it was poor I would have booked elsewhere.
