The Hotel far exceeded the expectations we had, the website information did not really do it justice. the staff were incredible, the hotel just beautiful.....if the website gave more pictures of the incredible forecourts within the hotel walls......thwy would certainly be at full capacity quickley. Well done. All superlatives can be used to describe this hotel. Brilliant location, magical rooms, highly professional staff and a price that is also great value. Will be coming back and will certainly recommed it to our friends.

Occasionally and transiently, the heating vents filled our room with the odor of sewage.Not a thing!. smelly drains in bathroom, however i think this is a prob in the area. a toilet air freshner helped.Groundfloor rooms are dark and windows can't really be opened as passersby can look directly in. I changed my room to the top floor which waslighter and had a view. I would advice anyone booking to specify a roomon 1st floor upwards, looking over a courtyard. the plumbing from our room and others made a lot of noise, but the charm of the hotel and location well compensated for that.overpriced dinner. We had to wait over 2 hours after check-in time for our room to be ready.Expensive breakfast so we chose to have breakfast elsewhere. The hotel parking was nearly impossible to get into. We scratched our car trying to get into the very narrow alley that leads to it. If we should ever go again, we would park at the public car park just down the street. Didn't try the breakfast, as at €18 per person it seemed rather expensive.Hard to get there. Park your car at some paid parking and walk or take a taxi. I used one near the Murillo Gardens and paid less than 20 euros for the stay (4 pm to 10 am). ants in the room - swimming pool too small for the size of the hotel. room cleaning during siesta time not a good idea. The hotel was difficult to find and the directions were incorrect - theyshould edit the instructions so future people won't get lost as well.The streets were very difficult to navigate with a car since they wereso narrow and the poor directions caused a bit of stress. The hotelentrance should be better marked.A long walk from our room to the lobby where the wireless internet access was available, but really not a problem as we didn't spend much time on the computer. the hotel parking was expensive at 19 euros a night; the breakfast at a similar price was declined. A contintental breakfast was available at various cafes nearby for about 5 euros.The area was not great around the holtel and difficult to find. The plumbing is noisy. Breakfast looked expensive so we didn't bother with it. The restaurant also looked pricey and was nearly always empty. No public internet computer for those of us who don't bring our laptops. Never ever try to get into the parking directly at the hotel, it isjust small. unable to have dinner in the restaurant on the Sunday evening.I expected a better standard of room for paying for an upgrade,the bar facilities were lacking 4 star standards.

FROM CORDOBA, MADRID AND THE AIRPORT: Coming in from the highway on Kansas City Avenue, you will find on your right the train station Santa Justa. There is a roundabout in front of the station, go around it to the left, passing in front of the Occidental Hotel. Go straight on and turn right at the next crossing into Avenue Luis Montoto. Now you are in Luis Montoto Avenue, which is the main access into the downtown area coming from the cities of Malaga, Granada, Córdoba and Madrid. Signs to the Hotel will direct you to go straight ahead. At the end of Luis Montoto, you cross an avenue and get into a narrow street called San Esteban. Go straight ahead, past a little square with trees and a palace on the right side called Casa de Pilatos. Turn at the first street left , by Candilejo street (you will see signs to the hotel) and go straight ahead by Muñoz y Pavón street until you find on your right the street San José (once you pass Escuela de Nuevas Profesiones on the right).
