Location was excellent; close to everything. Staff were friendly and the room was fantastic. Stongly recommend this hotel. The Regina was a great choice. Very central. Not too big to be to make you uncomfortable. Staff very attentative.its good location - it was just like a heaven when I saw the hotel from the metro station with heavy luggages. We felt welcome and attended to. We did not feel this way in most of the retail establishments in Spain.

This is a nice hotel. I was concerned since reviews were all over the map for most hotels in this area. It's clean, it's location is unbeatable, being very close to many major attractions. It's right next to the metro (highly recommended to use - great system) and the Starbucks (important if you want anything that resembles American espresso). Most of the reception spoke some English. Definitely worth the money. Had to change rooms after the first night due to a noisy plumbing line that kept us awake, but the move was swift and painless and the new room was very pleasant. The staff are wonderfully helpful and speak good english. Helpfull with any information we asked for. All in all, great value!. The air conditioning was not strong enough however this was fixed the same day upon asking the Reception to do so. We could not fault anything about the hotel from our time of arrival to departure the staff were friendly , the location is close to everything , shops, restuarants , and take the site seeing bus to see this glorious city. Never had time to try the hotel restaurant but do try the breakfast menu - a good start to the day at this marvelous hotel. everything was ok. the breakfast is useless: there are two coffee shop (one of them is Starbucks) very close the hotel. I thought that the price of the breakfast was somewhat excessive. To be charged nearly £10 for a continental breakfast is high.Breakfast a bit pricey. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. No gym. No bar in lounge. There was not a noise problem at all at night, but during the day we could hear lots of housekeeping noise. Some of the reception staff seemed annoyed when I asked for help and tired of me. It made me not want to even ask. We had a pretty awful view of other hotel rooms and hotel offices.European habit of providing two single beds instead of a double (we booked a double room). No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Staff was a little bit noisy in the mornings.staff should make sure that all people know about paying for tv. Not a great choice of hot food for breakfast.
