Good location family run guest house. If you do not want to hear street noises ask for a room at the back. I would not recommend that you take the breakfast as it is not in the same block, it does not open till 10 or 10.30am and it is not worth the value for the money you pay - Euro 4.for a coffee and a toast. For the same price further down the road you get an english breakfast which opens much earlier.

Great laundrette just down road and plenty of bars and restaurants. Would definately stay here next time we are in Madrid. Best value accommodation that I stayed in during my 4 week holiday. Altough facilities in the hostal are not new, rooms are clean and comfortable. Majority of the staff do not speak english but at the same time they will do everything to help. It was a great place to stay, quite cheap for a GREAT location. Of course it was a simple room but it had a mini-bar (which we didn't use) but it should be a plus for some people. In the center of the city,just off the Grand Via.Rooms clean, staff very friendly and welcoming.Room and bathroom big enough to accommodate a north European!!. It is in an excellent location, a ridiculously short walk from Gran Via. The staff was helpful and when we checked in he spoke English. Great location. Breakfast that is included is only a coffee (not cappuccino) and croissant or toast. Not very filling or satisfying. And at night, you NEED to close the balcony doors. It is much too loud outside to leave them open. can't think of any. No breakfast included, but not a real problem, there are plenty of places for a desayno! they did not have a crib for my baby!. Almost everything was good. Have to pay for safe. Fridge off with mold. A little noisy. Walls thin but nothing too bad. Separate beds. You cannot bring visits. The breakfast was served in a different building and, as the bar opened at 10 o'clock, we lost our last breakfast to catch the morning train to Toledo. Staff didn't speak much English. there were some hair threads in the bath upon our arrival. We were asked to pay upon arrival at 12:00 pm, tired and longing for some sleep, no matter that we have guaranteed our booking with a credit card. Remote controls missing from room for air con, fan, no apparent way to turn it on. Remote control for the aircon was brought to our door the night before our departure. Bathroom very tiny. Very dated. guests were questioned by reception staff and required identification every time they visited Internet was extremely bad. Lighting in the room is poor. Facility needs to be updated.
