it was extremely convenient, right near the subway/metro system and easy walking distance to many sites. It was close to a variety of restaurants, bars and shopping areas. The staff were very friendly in helping with directions or questions about the room. The room itself is small but has everything you need. Bathroom is extremely clean and is cleaned daily.
The rooms were very clean, WiFi was very fast and consistent. The hostel is a minute's walk from Puerta del Sol - the liveliest area of the city, and 10 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. The receptionist was helpful, and recommended nearby places of interest.all reviews »
Excellent location and very central. We were able to walk to all museums. But the metro station is right outside too. The area is full of restaurants and branded shops. Night clubs are 5 minutes away.

Being near Puerta del Sol, the street can get very noisy at night. We had to ask for another room so that we didnt get disturbed from the street noise.
But the staff were very helpful and immediately gave us a different room.
There was a light smell in the room. Maybe stuffiness.
No shampoo was available.
Rooms are small, and the bathroom is somewhat cramped.
The staff spoke no English. Although I speak basic Spanish, it was
difficult to communicate regarding one of the issues we had with wifi.
(My ipad couldn't connect with the wifi - they dismissed it as an
issue with my ipad rather than trying to help at all. Turns out - the
network was actually down for a short time, but they did not tell me
that.) tiny room, but not a problem if you're going to sleep, not
lounge around.
