Location is super for discovery Madrid. All attractions are within walking distance.Very welcoming and friendly staff. The breakfast was ample and tasty, especially Spanish ham with melon. The hotel is full of old-style, but in a modern deluxe apartments. The rooms are large and comfortable. Air conditionning was not fonctioning efficacely. It was so hot in our room under the roof. Nothing. No proper window in room Very cold - hotel isn't accomodated for low temperatures. It is a rather noisy little street with lots of bars and restaurants right underneath the hotel's windows, and they stay open till early hours of the morning. So, unless you can sleep under canon fire, you might want to look for a quieter location. Breakfast was not terribly appertising. You can only have one glass of juice and one cup of coffee. Although the apartment was equipped with a kitchenette there were no complimentary tea or coffee or sugar. Poor lighting in the room, especially the bathroom. No window, but it's so important. Room was somewhat dark. Staff are hardly English-speaking. Room very dark (lights are dim and only a small window looking to the wall) and the safe cannot lock. My room was a triple deluxe an I slept on a broken couch the first night. The other nights I slept on a child bed, very unconfortable. i would not recommend this place as an apartment. The kitchenette (tiny!!) didn't have any utensils, a pot and a frying pan were burnt and not useful, no kettle/coffee maker, no microwave. Kitchen was the only reason for me to book this place - VERY disappointed. - lighting is very poor. you can't read/see.. - BUT : if you are booking this place as a HOTEL room (no need for a kitchen), it's good: the location is centra, breakfast is included, staff is very friendly.
