Staff all spoke excellent English and are exceptionally helpful. 2 days before arrival, we received an email with exact instructions how to get to the hotel. Fantastic location for all Granada attractions. Very tasteful, modern decor. Comfy beds, cotton bed linen, spacious room for city hotel, aircon + heating. Free wifi always worked. Room had balcony with opening doors/windows. No need for a car as bus stop at end of road. Shops, tapas bars all within 5 mins walk. Alhambra Palace 25 m.
all reviews » The location of this hotel is perfect. We could walk to the Alhambra and everything else easily. There is a little cafe, Manuel's connected to the restaurant where a delicious little breakfast can be had for a few euros. Unlike other hotel breakfast buffets which tend toward tired meat, cheese and fruit platters with tang and machine made coffee, this restaurant served fresh squeezed oj, great cafe con leche and delicious croissants. The waiter is the fastest guy ever! Staff was very helpful an. We had no breakfast - there are many bars and cafes around so that was fine nd no problem. We highly recommend to take some tapas in the restaurant for lunch or dinner - the best we had in Andalusia (very close to the pinxos of san sebastian...). The hotel is perfectly lokated in old town and a 10 min walk to Alhambra (puerta de Justicia) - we picked up the tickets in advance and therefore didn't have to talk the walk to the main antrance (what would take 10 min longer than to puerta de justici. Modern comfortable boutique hotel in a great location. Lots of restaurant options, a few metres from Alhambra bus stop, a few metres from a bookshop where Alhambra tickets could be bought and printed, right in old town and near river. The staff are very helpful, the location excellent and the rooms very well appointed. It is a very well thought out and tastefully designed small hotel. The food is amazing in the bar and restaurant. If you book a room with breakfast, it is a plain continental meal served at your table. However you can order hot food at a reasonable cost. There is very helfpful staff let you everything about city and guide you to excellent flamenco show. Facilities of hotel are modern especially that GERMAN lift was impressive compare with other old european buildings. Location is quite conventient for moving to both ALBAYZIN and new town. The indications sent by the staff concerning how to get to the hotel by car proved to be very useful. The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel appears to be brand new and its modernness is somewhat of a surprise in old Granada. All the major tourist sites are within walking distance, and the Alhambra store is just a minute away around the corner. The room was quiet as well. This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. It is extremely clean, plenty of room for my daughter and I in twin beds. Quite cold initially in Granada but the room heating was brilliant. Finding the parking entrance to the hotel is very difficult. We found the hotel without much difficulty using the GPS . We could not find the access to the parking due to a down town one way system. We eventually paid a guy on a scooter to show us the way. It was well worth the 10 euros he asked for. There are people that do this for a living due to the vast number of tourists that encounter the same problem with city centre hotels. everything is good. Taking into consideration the fact that you are a hotel guest, the parking fee is quite expensive - 22E a day. The restaurant looked cosy and inviting but its lunchtime guests were so noisy they scared us off and we did not return. No negatives in this hotel. Few minor points really..Car park 22 euros per day (but it is city centre). Design of hotel makes it quite noisy but it certainly didn't prevent me from sleeping. Car park tight but not impossible. Don't let any of these put you off they are merely observations. Staff pushed the guided tour of the Alhambra that was expensive and not necessary. Also, parking is extremely tight, so only rent a very small car. The morning receptionist was not very welcoming when I arrived, it made me feel that I was bothering her. The rest of the staff was very helpful. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend this hotel. To reach the hotel by car was not so easy, because many streets are very narrow or one-way. Furthermore, the parking lot is extremely tight. Nothing. Car park is difficult to access and expensive (although it is very useful). We should have looked at a street map before we arrived and the hotel should advise travellers to do so, then their directions make sense. Sat nav is useless. Everything was excellent!. 20 EUROS for car par but it is so central and very secure one cannot be too critical. Car park a little tight!. The service in the restaurant attached to the hotel is separately owned and operated and the service is sporadic, at best, though the food is good if you are willing to wait. We couldn't get the hang of the air conditioning so the room was quite warm at night. We opened the window but the noise from the street was too much to sleep through. No negatives. Others have mentioned difficult parking, we got over that by parking at Granada bus station (lots of free street parking) and getting a taxi to the hotel, actually a cheaper option and certainl less streeful. The breakfast included in the room rate was only continental (possible to pay extra for eggs and bacon - which they after all could not serve) and we had to wait very long being served for, because they were short of staff that day. The restaurant is in connection with the hotel, and the staff at the reception told us that the hotel does not have anything to do with the breakfast restaurant, but anyway that part of the stay was not a nice experience. Ordinary breakfast with my own individual choice instead of this, by the hotel, predetermined three possibilities. The hotel was difficult to locate initially (but so are many hotels in the old part of the city). Not easy to find but this would probably apply to any hotel in the centre of Granada. Nothing. The included breakfast was poor.(not self service) A choice of a toasted ciabatta or a croissant, with a glass of juice and a cup of coffee.Cheese or ham could be provided with the toast but at a supplement. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. Beware of negotiating the narrow, sloping, winding underground corridor to the hotel carpark in a newly-hired car!. Limite choice of breakfast. Breakfast (included) was rather sparse. The every night party in the rear area was under our window and was a little noisy, but not enough to bother us. Parking in the underground garage was very tight. The holder of the shower facuet is broken. I had asked for a quiet room and on the first night I was repeatedly woken by people making their way past the window until 4:30am!!! The next morning I spoke to reception who said mine was one of the quietest rooms. The lack of sleep seriously hampered the next day's Alhambra visit!!!. Nothing. I liked everything!. Can be a bit noisy at night depending on room however it is a city location.prefer parking to be included in price rather than an extra. Staff in Hotel Cafe very rude. We didn't have breakfast but everyone that did complained about how poor it was. Would recommend cafe across the street for breakfast. Much better value than options in the restaurant under the hotel and open from 7 am.
