The hotel was perfect! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is brilliantly located to explore Granada, is in excellent condition and very clean and up-to-date, and as it didn't have an evening restaurant (it does do breakfast) there is no pressure to eat in the hotel. The car park is secure and has different sized spaces for the size of car. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. We were upgraded to asuite which was very spacious so we really appreciated it after such along drive. It was a bit difficult to find this hotel as it is tuckedaway, but well worth it. There are lots of bars and cafe's nearby andthe bus-stop for the famous 'Alambra' is a short walk away.
all reviews » The hotel itself looks like an old palace, but the rooms are newly furnished and spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is in Granada centre with easy access to the buses to Alhambra. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. This hotel is very central for taking the tour bus/and near all the other bus stops in Granada. The area immediately around the hotel is a little dull and dreary at first sight it appears to be safe to walk around, as we stay end January it's probably better in summer.Central location. Second room had some external rennovation work going on connected to balcony.Why were ash trays and matches provided in a non-smoking room?. Needs to be able to offer guests a decent hot coffee or tea at any timeduring the stay, especially for Winter guests.The taller of the two breakfast waiteress's was not very friendly we had warm milk meant for the coffee offered for tea and the milk on the table for cerials was often empty. In fact breakfast really let down our stay. staff a bit slow, but friendly. hard to find when arriving by car. too few tables in the breakfast room, but otherwise very good breakfast buffet. wifi didn't work in the room.You have to take a very narrow street to the hotel from one side, it'snot easy with an suv. But that's life. Unreasonable costs for use of internet.Being British, (and therefore used to non-smoking public places) it never occurred to us to mention this when booking. Our bedroom had obviously been used by a smoker - there was no smell when we went in, but sleeping for some hours I could smell stale smoke, (unpleasant!)which I guess was in the curtains. would not recommend booking with the hotel for the evening tours for the flamenco dance. pretty commercial tour. We were at the front of the hotel on a Saturday night and it was very loud - sounded like they were having a lot of fun but it kept me awake quite a while!. People tend to be loud and you can hear your neighbours in the next room (can be a bit disturbing). Very noisy early in the morning, the square outside the main entrance was a parking space for downloading lorries. Very unfortunate, it spoiled the whole experience a bit. No effective bar (even tho' plenty nearby), the approach by self-drive car - hard to find and pretty terrifying.Not easy to find. Ugly lobby and exterior plaza, indifferent employees at reception, breakfast not included in room rate.You need sat nav if driving to it. Room temperature. Did not respond to personal email that I sent them _ thet say they loose emails.

By Car:
From the Airport (15 km - about 35 minutes):
- Take the road towards Granada.
- Once in Granada, take the road towards Motril.
- Take exit number 129 onto Calle Recogidas.
- Turn right onto Calle Ángel Ganivets, then at the end turn left onto Calle San Matías.
- 100 metres further down you will find signs to turn left onto Calle Escudo del Carmen.
- Follow this road for 50 metres and you will find the hotel.

From the Train Station (1.5 km - about 25 minutes):
- Take Avenida Los Andaluces to the end, then turn right into Avenida Constitución.
- Turn right into Calle Severo Ochoa and continue until the end.
- Continue down Calle Mendez Núñez until you reach the ring road (exit 131 - Mendez Núñez).
- Take the dual carriageway towards Motril, then leave at exit 129 (Recogidas).
- From there follow the above directions.
