Hotel looks like bourgeois residence from the dawn of XX century. Very stylish, old fashion design. The location is simply fantastic. On one hand Rambla the Catalunya, with planty of restaurants and bars, on the other Passeig the Gracia. At the same time the hotel is quiet. Fantastic view from the balcony (Casa Mila). Metro station just around the corner. Sagrada Familia is also within walking distance. The hotel is small, only couple rooms, so it has a nice, family atmosphere. The stuff is exc.
all reviews » We absolutely loved everything about Circa 1905 - the magnificent building with its entry doors, marble staircase, old fashioned lift and a superb interior that had a rich, old world ambience yet still,offered all the modern conveniences that give a place that "luxury feel". We felt very safe and private in our charming, quiet room and slept soundly all night in a superbly comfortable bed. The tall shuttered patio doors allowed a gorgeous scent to waft in during the night from the courtyard's h. Very nice and stylish B&B in a convenient and nice location in Barcelona (300 m from Subway station Diagonale). Bedroom had a fair size with excellent large mattresses and a small French balcony - large enough to sit outside. Beds were excellent, the bathroom with shower rather spacious and very modern. Air conditioning individually adjustable. Room looked towards Provenza street, which is quite busy in the morning, but the sound insulation by a double window system was very good. Breakfast. Staff were superb. Nothing too much trouble. Little subtle, elegant touches like embroidered hearts scattered around the hotel and on the room doors rather than numbers. Fresh and extremely clean. The terrace was fabulous for relaxing with your continental breakfast and chilling after exploring the wonderful sights of the city. Central location with great metro access to the whole of the city. Added bonus Gaudi building and a fabulous patisserie at the end of the street. Thoroughly enjoyed our . it is perfect.when taxi sent us there,i thought the driver made wrong address.how could 120euros per night hotel locate so much near Gracis and many branded shops.it is in a fantastic building in which the other share is 4stars hotel.gorcerous! when we entered the hotel,wow is the only word.it is designed very well and the clerk is very friendly.room is big with comfortable bed.all the bath things such as shampoo\lotion\soap are all l'occitane.the breakfast is very good too. Beautiful high ceilings. Lovely room designs simple and elegant. Include the little things for free like bottled water and nespresso. Wifi was great as was breakfast on the terrace. Location is perfect, near all the nice shops and Gaudi buildings and away from La Ramblas. The entrance is marked by a small plaque, so make sure you write down the street number. You will need it. But this adds to the charm and the feeling that this is a small boutique B&B. I have been to Barcelona at least 5 times and this is the BEST place I have ever stayed. It is so beautiful and well done. The rooms are large and luxurious. The service and breakfast are amazing. This is in the heart of all the best shopping in Barcelona. Restaurants are just a short walk away. Very highly recommended. Will never look at another hotel in Barcelona again and I will return. Excellent Boutique B & B. Staff very helpful and friendly. This is a negative contrast to the rest of the hotel's furniture, floors and equipment. Looks very cheap. I would rather expect marble/tiles at least in the shower and behind the sink. But since the hotel is very new, maybe it's still planned for the future?. Compared to other countries hotel rooms in Barcelona are very expensive. nothing. We loved everything. (I would suggest facecloths for the bathroom, as many North Americans use them.). If I want to be really picky - the bathroon was a little small compared to the very spacious room. The couple next door to us were smoking on the terrace but they only stayed one night ;-}. I liked everything about Circa 1905. Nothing !. nothing. Absolutely nothing!. Nothing. Breakfast was good but would have been nicer to have the option of eggs for the additional protein in the morning as most of what is offered is sugary or starchy. Nothing. Stairs with suitcase - lift not working ! Presume temporary problem. Not the hotel's fault - but room faced out onto very busy road - so very noisy when balcony doors open. Street is noisy from time to time due to garbage facilities right outside Circa. We were not pleased with the access to the hotel, the steps to get to the elevator. I missed having a wash cloth & hair conditioner. Hotel is better suited to younger people. Nothing. Nothing negative. Everything was great. Maybe a brighter light to read by at night. I thought it was pricey for a b&b albeit extremely charming!. Use of strong conditioner on the bedclothes, we had to sleep first night with windows open. Breakfast rather poor but ok.. Nothing almost. Strange noise from heater. Poor signage. Parking complicated. Loading unloading luggage not easy. Elevator does not operate at street level. Very small bathroom, small sink, noisy fan. No hot breakfast, only cereal, fruit or toast. Upon checkout we were told we had to pay 200 euros because at the time of booking we had only been quoted for the first nights stay. This was not shown clearly when booking nor did the hotel mention it upon checkin. They said it is a common misunderstanding and I believe something should be done as it left a sour taste of a lovely break. 400 euros for a 2 night stay with no hot breakfast in a small hotel is expensive. Nothing.
