The apartment was modern, spacious and clean. It was very well equipped with all kitchen electronics and dishes we needed. The washing machine-dryer was very useful. The apartment location was excellent. We walked to most places, but it is also easy to get taxis and metro station is very close. There are a lot of small shops around for groceries - For serious shopping the Passaig de Garcia is close and full of fashion and other shops. Although the apartment is in a busy area, it was very quiet.
all reviews » I liked the fact that Angla almost operates on anti-hype. Everything about the apartment was better than the very correct, agreeably modest descriptions on the net. Whoever designed the flat we stayed in had terrific taste and picked the very best of everything, from the towels to the porcelain china plates. The interior was sober, modern and elegant. And we liked the staff tremendously. Nicholas, on reception, was helpful and humorous and helped make our stay so great. The location is perfect,. Loved the rooms and location. Limited access hours was a problem. Our flight arrived at 7:00 am and left a few days later at 6:00 pm. If only there was palace to keep our luggage. Also our room was not ready until 6:00 pm the day we arrived. On check out day we were late getting back to the hotel to take our luggage (1:00 pm) and our key no longer worked! We needed to be told this in advance. Our cell phone does not work in Europe so we couldn't call. Thank goodness the cleaner let us in. Great. I booked this apartment for my honeymoon vacation and it was totally worth of the price. It looks much prettier than the pictures shown on the website. The location is awesome. I walked by casa Batllo everyday. It is quiet and clean, and spacious. Every night, my husband and I had some chats and coffee on the balcony which I thought is very romantic. The cookware is all there, you can definitely cook by yourself if you are tired with local cuisine. Staff were excellent throughout, but particularly on arrival. We arrived after 8pm, so should have paid an additional amount, but were told that since they had not had to travel far to check us in, we didn't have to pay. The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was quiet, and in an excellent location. We would definitely recommend the apartment to friends and family. Comfy bed. - Good location just 3 min. Walking from Passeig De Gracia street. location. Only thing we had some issues with was the Wi-Fi, it was a bit slow and stopped working twice during our stay. Because it is an apartment, the staffs were not always at the reception. It was fine with us since we never rely on reception staffs for any information. But if will check in late, please make sure that you give prior notice to the staffs otherwise you cannot get in the building. Having to leave. Getting in. There is no permanent staff and the key system for the front door is tricky. Plus there is no one there to assist you during certain daytime hours. The card swipe front door needs improvement. Wifi got disconnected twice during our stay. Check in available from 3-8 pm. Had to leave a 200 eur deposit for room they take it from your bank but do return it after your stay with in 24 hrs. If you are arriving in Barcelona early on an early morning flight from the States you have nowhere to stash your bags until check-in. The staff doesn't arrive until 3:00 pm. There are locker facilities available in surrounding areas but expect some cab rides to accomplish this. There are more than one Angla Boutiques in Barcelona; make sure you arrive at the correct one. Make sure you call the office before ariving to the house. Nobody was waiting for us to check in. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for someone from the staff to arrive and let us in. The location is outside of the old heart of Barcelona...a good 20-30 minute walk. Check-in times were restricted so make sure to call ahead to coordinate when you will arrive, otherwise plan on spending a few hours with your luggage in one of the nearby cafes. Reception is not 24 hours available at hotel. Nothing. the 3:pm checkin is a pain and it's hard to drop bags. Reception only available for limited hours which meant no one to ask advice of/no where to leave luggage on day of check out. In fairness we didn't need much help, but the left luggage would have been an issue if our flights were later. Apartment was not ready even at a couple of hours past check-in time. We had to leave and go sightseeing though tired after a long drive to Barcelona. While there was a number of pots in the kitchen, there was no frying pan, so we had to buy one. Late check-in charge quite expensive. entrance hall ( a little bit shabby), registration period too short. Nothing. Loved it all. Wifi is frequently not working... We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels. Absolutely no service! Dark hallways. Waiting for someone to let us in at 4:00 PM. Nothing at all!. Reception works limited time during the day. The outdoor view was not so Nice!!. Check-in it's limited in time wise!. If you plan a morning arrival you should think twice. There is no option for early check-in and no space to leave your luggage (they suggest lockerbarcelona but avoid it unless you travel light). After the third night they should provide clean linen and towels. No housekeeping. Wifi frequent failures. Late check-in. That we waited outside for 45min outside of apt building upon arrival. Then another hour till we got in an apt. No washer/dryer instructions. The reception working hours were convenient for us, but it could be not if we came couple of hours before or later. No microwave oven in apartment. Just 5 hours for check In. Reception working hours and reception staff itself. No room service. Check-in time so inflexible. Many extra fees - well, we are confused about part of our charge and I've already emailed the apartment 3 times for our receipt... No reply. No cleaning service even if you have to pay for it, that means you have to buy toilet paper and wash your towels if needed; dirthy dishes, no nearly grocery shop. Apartment staff not flexible at all. I had to wait 4 hrs until I could make the check-in, I would not mind in paying an early check in fee but the staff and I guess the owner did not want to help even though I had called before. For this reason I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it. No toilet paper provided!. - Only one person in the reception which is a 1m by 2m area.!! - The reception person only available from 3pm to 8pm and the rest of the day the reception desk is empty !!!! - No staff at all exept the only one person available 3-8 in the front desk who is rude and not professional at all !!! - Apartments are too small. - No coffee maker or any complementary supplys !! - Wi-Fi turns off most of the time !!! - No free of charge house keeping !!!. no front desk staff no room services no housekeeping telephone not attended only voice mail and no one will reply I will not recommend this please for anyone.
