The room lay out, was very well designed and clean. The friendly staff, easy check in and out. Easy access to Gautrain, entertainment, the late check in and check out. Breakfast was really good with lots of options for different tastes. I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Metcourt has the best breakfast you can imagine. It is a minute away from the Codessa wak which is a kilometer exhibition of the events that took place to put in place a new Constitution for South Africa and political freedom for all who live in South Africa.
all reviews » Convenient to the airport. The free shuttles to and from the airport were on time and easy to get on and off. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had great variety. The room was clean and made great use of the space. Bed was comfortable. I liked the proximity of the food court at the Emperor's Suites across the street. The variety and quality of the restaurants there is great. I also appreciated the staff's assistance in arranging tours of Soweto and Johannesburg. Perfect, especially for women travelling alone: plenty of restaurants in walking distance can be reached safely, very reliable airport shuttle. Additionally an impressive breakfast buffet. I can certainly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great. Decor was good - not overpowering andI just loved the bed and bedding- so comfortable!! Great value for money. Close to airport and complimentary shuttle is a great advantage. Definitely recommended. The hotel was great value for money, as I was in transit I found the location and free airport shuttle bus transfer to be excellent. I did even use 15. Mb free and it said the I had exceeded my limit... And I had to wait 24 hours to log in again.... Something really minor a light in my room did not work so my room was pretty dark...No cards for Gautrain were sold at hotel, so it was pretty difficult getting to Rhodesfield to buy the ticket. This should be explained properly, or tickets should be sold at hotel desks. But I really loved staying there. Rooms small. Toilet just fits you in. One time the airport shuttle was unable to take more passengers. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the next shuttle. We still had plenty of time to check in at airport for our flight. Going to the hotel lobby for wifi use. The fact that one couldn't access Wi-Fi or the internet without a voucher. WiFi only available in lobby. Quite expensive to buy internetn vouchers in the room. No negative aspects. Was only there for 1 night so no complaints. i liked everything except the guys at the airport where you take the shuttle, always asking for money.. made me sick. Not much to answer on this. Sorry. For the money I cannot think of anything. None. Took 30 mins to contact reception to send someone to change tv remote batteries. Very limited internet access: must purchase to have much to work with. Rooms a tiny bit too small. We did not like the outlay of the bathroom and toilet not being seperate from the room. Nothing. Dining experience was in the Emperor's Palace and was a long walk from the Metcourt, through a large complex. Although the choice of restaurants in the Palace's Mall would have covered any imaginable taste. Would rather have price of wifi included in room rate. I hate being charged to use wifi in hotels. Thr bathroom arrangements were a bit strange. Nothing - the hotel is well priced, convenient, excellent breakfast and efficient reception. The rooms maybe on the small side but for a few days they are more than adequate. nothing really to complain or dislike. On arrival, a very large group of people arrived at the same time for a conference. Staff could have managed the waiting queue better by ensuring the the queue did not block the entrance. Rooms are small. There was nothing that we did not like. We only spend one night and left straight after breakfast. No wifi. Nothing :-). Did not like the open toilet and bathroom design of the room. It was very cold at breakfast, there was not enough if any heating. The size of the rooms and the art works on the bedroom walls. Very small toilet in the room with no ventilation. Slow check in. We coudn't brush our teeth,wash or shower and that was not good. We were on our way to meet people. My wife was not happy at all. I think Metcourt can compensate for that. Shower a bit small. Location out of the way for my purposes. Free Internet would improve the already good service. Nothing.
