letsbookhotel.com secured deposit of r600 and due to lateness of checkin this was not visible to owners so they charged the full amnt again. letsbookhotel.com did phone and apologise, however, we await the r600 to be reimbursed. Marion Lodge is a good place to stay if you're in Joburg. The bedroom is big and clean. The breakfast is good as well. The staff is very nice and polite. And the owner is a very attentive and gracious woman.

I didn't like that it was described as being a walk closer to Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square when it is not. we had to spend money on cab going to and fro the mall. I feel ironing facilities should be free. This facility should be provided in every room. Only concern was needing to ring the bell to get in the gate every day. Over the weekend, coming home late, the guard was off duty and I battled to get in. The fact that there was not gym :(. Nothing. The room's door had a huge gap at the bottom and all the noises from the corridor could be heard. Cancellation policy is insane! &Quot;If cancelled up to 21 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.". The breakfast. Breakfast is not up to standard. Room was rather small. Bedrooms poorly laid out & old, bathroom very poor. Narrow and old. No internet in the bedroom Very noisy with intercom going at all times of the night and early morning - you should consider giving guests their own access remote or someway of not disturbing guests trying to sleep at 1am! No fresh air for bedroom Very small and basic breakfast Noisy renovations taking place. Unprofessional staff Garden neglected, plastic flowers, grass not cut Sliding doors at eating area with security gates locked with chains whilst having breakfast This is definitely not a 4 star facility Rubber mat in shower is vulgar Mildew in shower Small, thin duvet for size of bed. It was very noisy cause of the construction and the shower floor was dirty, sheets and the carpet.

Directions from O.R Tambo Johannesburg International Airport: - When exiting O.R Tambo Johannesburg International Airport, follow the R24 Johannesburg sign. - After approx 9.3km, follow the N1 Pretoria sign then shortly afterward the N3 Pretoria sign, make sure to follow the N3 Pretoria sign. - Once on the N3 to Pretoria, travel for approximately 10.8km and take the Marlboro Drive off ramp. - Keep left, following the signs to M60 Marlboro Gardens. - After approximately 2.4km there is a small sign to M60 Sandton at a 4-way intersection. - Once you see a Shell petrol station on the left hand side, you need to turn right at this traffic light onto South Road and travel for approximately 3km to the T-junction with Rivonia Road. - Turn left into Rivonia Road then in approximately 1 km turn left off of Rivonia Road into Marion Street, then immediately turn left into Edward Rubenstein Drive, travel for approximately 1 km then turn right into Marion Street. - The second building on the right hand side is then Marion Lodge.
