All staff members we met at Adora Hotel were very accommodating and all had superb levels of English which made communication very easy. They were all more than happy to help and were proactive in making our trip very enjoyable. They helped us with bus times to Lake Bled and even printed timetables off for us. all reviews » This hotel is a little jewel in the old town of Ljubliana, perfect location right at the bottom of the castle, just 5 minutes walking distance from the river and the Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and everything is planned to make you feel at home. Our room (double superior) was very spacious, bright, with wodden floors. The bathroom was also quite spacious and the shower was fantastic. Good breakfast served in the morning with several sweet and savoury options. There are no coffe makin. The hotel is situated at the end of the pedestrian zone in the old town, at the foot of the castle hill. The zone is very nice, has plenty of shops and restaurants and all major tourist attractions are reachable on foot. The hotel is very quiet and clean. Breakfast is good and eggs are freshly cooked on demand (a feature rarely found even in high rank hotels). People at the reception are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. WiFi works perfectly. It's difficult to find anything wrong with this . Everything! The Adora is one of the loveliest small hotels I've ever experienced. The staff is friendly and helpful. In fact, they go out of their way for you. My room was comfortable and very charming. It felt luxurious. My bed had 4 pillows--two of them large and very fluffy. The breakfast was very good. Close to a bar that was busy until 3am and so some noise even with double windows but cant avoid this in a city centre and did not spoil our stay. If we had stayed longer would have stayed up later to join in.. Nothing, everything was fantastic!. Few minor details in actual room need attention eg no waste bin in bedroom,shower attachment didn't work properly (but looked good !). Twice the cleaning lady didn't leave shower gel and shampoo. Simply nothing to complain!. Some street noise--it did not bother me particularly, but travelers who are very sensitive to this should be aware. Nothing. While the room was comfortable for our short stay, it might be a little small for longer stays. The hotel doesn't have onsite parking and we had to park 10 minute walk away. Despite this it would not stop me staying here again. Its just a slight inconvenience. very noisy road just outside - take earplugs!. Nothing. no fault of the hotel but car access is awkward as hotel is in a restricted area and you need an electronic pass from hotel to access road to unload baggage. That said, staff go out of their way to help you. Not much parking in surrounding area but hotel does have one spot reserved close by if you book early enough. pillows too soft. Parking was a nice 10-minute walk from the hotel but a pleasant area. No soap dish in the shower and limited shelf space in the bathroom. It was difficult to find (by car), but not the hotel's fault, they sent maps and helped us with parking. Road noise early morning if you leave the window open. Nothing But one of the window was broken and double glazing was therefore not working : So room became noisy. No tea or coffee making facilities in room although it is always available downstairs for free. The window of my hotel room was facing a church tower and a bell sounded regularly from more or less 7:00 up until 21:00 to 22:00 in the evenings. This together with the high amount of traffic on one of the main roads near to the hotel made it rather noisy especially if at time where a preferred to sleep with the window open. The room has air conditioning but for those who do not like air conditioning, it will be a bit noisy. No dislikes.maybe public parking a bit remote,but not a problem. The rooms are small, but clean and well presented. My friend and I both had superior double rooms which were great. Our other friends shared a standard double which was a bit compact (but fine). The superior wasn't much more expensive and well worth it. Only thing I missed was somewhere to put the soap in the shower!. Loved it all.
