This is my second stay in less than one month. Needless to say, we were very pleased. The hotel price is very good. The value is great, It is approximately 2 blocks from the old town castle area, which is very much closer than many of the hotels that advertise, and reviews that state, they are close to the old town. The hotel is located just 3 stops away from the main railway station. It's just on the foot hills of the castle, the location was perfect for us, since it was very close to the old town and the bus stop. The room was extremely clean and tidy and bed was too soft. I had a very pleasant stay in Ibis.

Tip: if you arrive by train take bus 93 (70 cents) for THREE stops and you will spot the hotel just below the castle wall. Perfect location (local transport plus bus stop to Devin Castle and Vienna are some 5 min walking), pretty girls on reception, fast Wi-Fi, everyday cleaning. My number was small but very cosy. Breakfast is not included (for this price could be included). You can't check-in till 12:00. For those who are travelling with cars you should be ready to pay 16 EUR for parking. There is no restaurant in the hotel and you should pay additionally breakfast on the bar. The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. No music channel, it was stifling in the corridor and on reception though it was autumn. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The staff could be more helpful. The hotel announces "Service room 24/7". However, phones were not working and I had to go to the reception to order and bring it to the room. The breakfast was a little lacking. Parking is overpricey in hotel becouse in street where is hotel parking is free. I have only one bad remark: small towels, in case of 2 people sleeping in the same room it's not a good business card presentation for this hotel. Not much outside of the old city if one has no transport to venture further afield. Nothing!!!. The weather was a bit of a let down but that was not the fault of the hotel. Stayed on 2 occasions, first was perfect, but second room we got was close to the tram track and a bit noisier than one would like. The whole room was almost totally soundproofed, except for the door. Traffic noise was non existent, as were any sounds form adjacent rooms, but anyone in the corridor could be heard clear as a bell. Very expensive breakfast and the rooms did not have a refrigerator. Nothing. Noise of trams and towels very thin. Don't go on a Sunday, everything is closed. The prices are a bit higher. This time none. Would have liked more staff on the desk. To busy to get a coffee when we arrived. Only one on reception and coffee shop. The street noise from the new street car line was regrettable. The picture on some of the TV stations was fuzzy; the room smelled of cigarette smoke which was most unpleasant. Beds & pillows not very comfortable. Room was hot. Had a/c as cold as it would go. Didn't seem to work. Only complaint - which ws nothing to do with the Hotel - was the noise of trams entering the tunnel on the corner where the Hotel is situated. The air conditioning was not good enough to cool the room when temp outside up to 35deg.
