Great accommodation! Big clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and very warm in winter. The building is very secure and in a good location. Only 10 minute walk from the main square in Brasov and a short walk to the station and buses to go to Poiana Brasov to ski. The staff were wonderful. Wifi works very well. I will definitely stay here again next time in Brasov. The lady at the reception was very kind and explain us things to see. The room was very ok, clean and nice. It was warm in the room and on the hole. There was even a chitchen were to cook very nice. The place is very near to the city at 10-15 min from center and 20 from Black Church. So everything was perfect and nice. I strongly recomended it.

The location is OK from a practicality standpoint, a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Close to city center - no need for taxi / public transport. 10' walk to main attractions. Well equipped kitchen: cooker, cutlery, crockery, napkins, fridges, etc. Budget-friendly (130 EUR / 4 nights, non-refundable) Clean rooms. Excellent beds. We had a lovely attic apartment. we shared a kitchen which had every thing you could want from a kitchen and was kept spotless. It was also very quite which was good coming back after a long day sightseeing. - very nice rooms (renovated old apartment building) - nice kitchen facilities - very nice view from the 'upper' kitchen - close to old part of the city - quiet & comfortable - provided a baby crib. No air conditioning in the rooms. However, there was no need of ac during our stay as the weather was not very hot. There was nothing really negative about our stay. That said perhaps in the future they could put in a lift for older visitors like me. - you need to check-in at a hotel close by (about 200m); not quite an inconvenience, but you need to keep this in mind if you have allot of luggage; you are notified of this by the staff. Smoking is allowed in the kitchen and dining area which for non-smokers was a bit of a put off. CCTV cameras all over the place (not in the rooms of course :). No air-con. I have nothing negative to say about the accommodation here. Split beds though we asked for queen size, seized heater valves, 200m walk to the reception. A bit far from the city center in my opinion. But with taxi its only 4-5 lei. check-in to another location - 200 m, if bad weather is unpleasant walk from side to side; parking must be paid but you will not find charged device, otherwise you park at the location of the check in. there was no hot water. In our room was a little bit cold at the beginning of september. No air-con. Breakfast was small and not included in rate. Road-works made it difficult to park and bring the luggage in. Location was ok, not in the center where all the fuss is, but 5min walk away, kind of tricky if you drink too much palinca at the pubs. some of the windows did not had blinds, accomodations are done in a separate building. The fact that in order to check in you have to go to the Ambiance Hotel, even though you´re staying at the Ambiance Residence. There is no reception at the Residence. There is no elevator; no other option for the luggage, meaning you can only take the stairs. The room is not soundproof, and if other guests pass by your room you can hear the entire conversation. Noisy guests in the middle of the night that could be easily heard trough the walls of the room. No AC, it was extremely hot in the room, no hairdryer, no bed lights, during the night there were lots of mosquitos. Very noisy street, you can't sleep with the window open. Even with the window closed the noise is too high. No wi-fi internet. There were dirty underwear behind the bed, but the worst by large was the fact that the room was full of mosquitos. We killed 10-12 more or less and there were even more. We tried to sleep for 4 hours untill we decided to complain at the reception, where they told us that next day it would be possible to change room. However, they admitted it was a problem affecting all the building. They should put it in the website, we felt like swindled. 1.The reception is ~200m away from the residence 2. we ordered breakfast at the residence and it was of bad quality 3. the sheets felt like sandpaper on the skin 4.15 minutes walk from the old part of the city 5. no hairdryer 6. no free parking 7. the wifi was on/off all the time 8. the curtains were very transparent, so we couldn't sleep after 7 o'clock. 9. no fridge. The offsite check in is odd but understandable. There were no elevators. The entrance was a bit scary when you walk in. The room was musty and there was no Air Conditioning. I am under 6 ft and I bumped my head on where the toilet is due to the sloped roofline in the bathroom. Just overall not the best place to stay, you can find better places for the money.
