My 14-year old daughter and I were completely charmed by the intelligently designed Hotel Kolegiacki. Only 11/2 years old and owned by 2 architects, it is the perfect combination of old and new: the decor of the rooms feel like old Poland while the facilicies are entirely new: huge marble bathrooms with very large rain showers, flat screen TV's and wifi in every room. The hotel is situated just off Poznan's incredibly colorful and beautiful market square surrounded by small cobblestone streets,.
all reviews » The location was amazing. right next to the Old Town Square and close to all other sights Poznan has to offer. The staff were excellent, friendly, and spoke English very well. We booked a smaller room but when they heard we were bringing two small children, they gave us a free upgrade plus extra mattress. For a family with small children, the elevator is a major plus for suitcases and stroller. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. It is well worth the small amount of money. There was fresh. Very conveniently located to Old Town city square. Easy to access by car. Parking space available nearby. Impressive antrium creating a feeling of a lot of space in what is a small hotel. Comfortable room. WiFi. Very good breakfast. Courteous staff. It appeared to be newly refurbished so everything had a new and clean look. It was an intimate, boutique-style hotel located in the attractive historic centre of Poznan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved ity. Location, design, parking. All excellent. location. I loved this hotel and hesitate to say anything but make sure you ask for a room near the wifi router, if that's important to you. The walls of this wonderful old building are quite thick, which sometimes makes getting a signal in your room tricky...... But believe me, this is a mere quibble!. Our first night, the shower wouldn't drain, but they offered to change rooms. The next room was perfect and I believe they fixed the drain problem right away. Wi-Fi connection in our room was not very strong. Only worked near the entrance. It was my mistake to take the room with internal view.. Better to choose another one! Bathroom didn't have window. Breakfast - really small choice of food, not a very good quality of it, everything cramped on two tables. Tasteless scramble egg, very limited choice of hot food. breakfast didn't look very rich and cost 30pln, so I didn't try it. Parking place - it is quite problematic and there are no places reserved for the Hotel. Coffee-making facilities in the room would be appreciated. In my first room the bed was old and uncomfortable. In both rooms WiFi either didn't work at all or not properly. Speed was very low, connection unstable. Had an issue with parking, where we paid for the hotel spot was it was not clearly communicated which spots on the street were there's. We received a parking ticket, but it could be argued that we did not pay attention to the markings on the sidewalk. No coffee or tea facilities in our room. I wish I would have chosen the "free cancellation" option. My husband didn't have enough medication for the trip. There are no exceptions to the policy. Not all rooms finished yet, small surface of the room. no tea/coffee facilities need bigger bath towels. There were no curtains on the window in my room, so sun woke me up at around 5 am and I could do nothing about it. The drain in the shower didn't work properly and the water was spilling over to the floor... too hot/no telephone.
