Hotel saski was in a prime location for a weekend in krakow just footsteps from the main square. The hotel itself offers everything needed for the weekend or short stay traveller. We went for a stag and everyone was happy with the place.

It was like stepping back in time with a modern twist. The decor was beautiful and I loved the lift. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

This was not a fault of the hotel but as there was no air conditioning and the nights were very warm, I slept with the window open. The hotel is situated very close to the Main Square which was quite noisy at night. Earplugs would have helped.
We were on the first floor which constantly stank of cigarette smoke and to our amazement discovered it was one of the hotel staff causing the stink. Not a great selection for a continental breakfast. Lots of noise throughout the night from Lizard Club below our window.
The hotel is surrounded by clubs which meant that I was woken up in
the early hours every night by drunken shouting, police sirens and
music. But I guess the hotel was there first so it's not really
their fault.
The breakfast is not as good as it used to be - no fruit, no choice of bread.
Some street noise though I had requested a quiet room.

1.The fact that the hotel has no ventilation and when it is hot windows need to be open and consequently the noise and disturbance from street and clubs around made sleep impossible.
2.The cost of the hotel is based more on it's location rather than what it offers.
Noise from street, like seriously noisy late into the night followed by a busker before 6:00am. Cracked porcelain. Shower smelled of bad eggs. No hot water, just tepid which is worrying. Probably a splendid hotel 100 yrs ago but now tired and in serious need of modernisation.
