The view of this hotel is very good, a great lake view. We rent an apartment, it's spacious. The small balcony is good for chat and drinks to view such a great lake. It's easy accessible to the main pier and the supermarket nearby. Flåm is a small town, we stayed for 3D2N, one day we took bus to Aurland for hiking, it's convenient. There are some trails for hiking in Flåm. We followed the trails to see waterfall. It's good.
all reviews » The view from our deck was amazing, probably better than the view from the hotels that are nearer to the reail station and port. The room was pretty big, and had all the facilities needed to cook and eat. For those who do not cook, there is a bar/restaurant on the basement that offers basic meals at fair prices. Brilliant location. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The location mere metres away from the water is impossible to beat and the apartments are a bit away from the ever arriving tourist crowds but very convenient to shops. Great restaurant on site. We stayed for 3 days and could have stayed longer. The cheapest open option during low season could've been cheaper if we had more people to share the basic apartment with. It came fully equiped for those wanting to cook their own food. The view from the balcony out onto the fjords would've been absolutely gorgeous if the skies were clear. The room was quite spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped. View from the room balcony was superb. Boat rental was also available, which was a good option for us as we couldn't join the 'jet boat' tour thingy. The room is right on the fjord. The view is amazing. The room itself is clean and well equipped, but it is the deck and the view that makes this a perfect place to stay. The apartment is near the railway station, about 5-10 minutes walk. It is a clean and cozy apartment with a fantastic view of Sognefjord, it is the best one in Flam. * Location was a huge plus with the most spectacular views. * Other locations in Flam don't offer the view down the Fjord * Apartment comfortable with all you need. Really spacious apartment with the best views in Flam, right to the fjords, unlike the hotels right near the train station. Just a 5 minute walk from the marina. Restaurant at the apartments was very good and right there, a couple of meters from our apartment. the apartment was very close to the train and ferries. The most amazing view of the Flåm Fjord, probably the best view in Flåm! Close to the excellent local brewery. Wi-fi, good kitchen facilities and balcony. Having a great kitchen and nice amount of space and incredible view. Also flexibility to leave at 2pm rather than 12. Thank you we had a great time. Sometimes, I found that the dining room is not warm enough, with the dining room's heater already on. So I wore more clothing and used the portable electric heater, the problem was solved. Altought it is a very small city, the hotel is a little bit far from the center. A 8-10 min walk, with lugages and rain, can be unpleasant. The hotel advices that com charge up to 200 NOK, if the dishes are not washed. Some falicities like the toaster, the TV and the Microwave weren´t working. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay at these apartments. General comment - why do the cruise ships have to play LOUD music when they are departing. Absolutely appalling noise pollution. The weather. Nothing really special to be improved. Cannot rent kayaks without guide in Flam. I had to set up the bed and pillow cover by myself. It would be great if it can be done by the staff. As most tourists usually stay for a short period, we will appreciate if the apartment can offer seasoning and oil for cooking. Cleaning on your departure does not include taking out the garbage or and last minutes plates/cups in the sink - there is a penalty charge if this is not done. Expensive like all things in Norway, but in this case well worth it. Bedroom and bathroom were a bit basic. Regrettably the microwave was not working hence cannot heat brought cooked food quick enough but through electric cooker. Cafe opening hours are rather late. None. Nothing, guests should plan to stay here longer. The shower. Water on the floor, no place to put the soap. The price. Rooms were not cleaned everyday . Was difficult to locate the hotel when we first reached Flam . Having to make up our own beds on arrival. Wish groceries available 7 days instead of closed Sundays. confusing check-in process. Single beds, heating did not work the best in main area, more space than needed for a one night stay. Nothing. The bed is too soft. The kitchen cleaning stuff (sponge and utilities) were dirty and old which seemed to be used by a lot of guests during a long time. Poor shower head; Jammed wash sink; Dirty bed and couch cloth. the kitchen utensil could be cleaner. Too expensive , no breakfast included.
