Location right by the fjord, station and ferry dock. Quality of the accommodation is excellent, though being a hostel, it is quite basic. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare yor own food, or eat stuff bought from the Greenway take-away trailer that is just by reception. Surrounding scenery is magnificent. Train ride to Myrdal is a must-see!. We had a great stay here: very friendly atmosphere and stuff, nice surrounding, all facilities in and outside of the room were excellent, clean and comfortable. In the territory even there was a kind of cafe with good food and reasonable prices. We felt like at home.
all reviews » All the hostel area is clean and tidy. The place is quiet and comfortable to walk to from the train station. Staff is very friendly and helpful, with various supplies of raw food and daily utilizes in their counter. Very clean rooms and facilities. The living room and kitchen were great in our hostel cabin. The manager was great with very useful local information and we were minutes away from the store and local brewery. Well located, very friendly and helpful staff. The hostel was amazingly clean, fresh looking and the beds super comfy. The bathroom in the room was bigger than in some hotels I stayed in and it was very clean. We stayed at Flam when travelling the Norway in a Nutshell circuit. Enjoyed talking to other travellers in the community kitchen. Comfortable room. Remember to pack a quick dry towel. The linen was great and the beds are very comfortable. The location is very good. We stayed in a room with private bathroom and it was quite simple and clean. Rooms were extremely small , we booked a family room for 4 , there was not much space even to put the luggage.kitchen needs a microwave . Internet not available in rooms , only in lounge area .should provide the towels in this price . The shared kitchen was a bit under-equipped. The coin shower. 10 NOK for 4 minutes shower is a little joke. At least shower should be at each floor of a building. It is really unhealthy to go outside the building for a shower during cold weather. Also there should be some signs how to get to the hostel around the town. As in most Scandinavian countries be prepared for an expensive accommodation bill. The accommodation while very clean is very basic but then it is a hostel!. No breakfast. no toilet in the room, it's not convenient , and I can smell chemical things because its new house. None. No microwave Room basic but all there. Rental price for the bikes is high for this place. The price is slightly expensive than what it should be for a hostel. People (not many) who did not coran their rushes prpoerly. WIFI is only really available at reception area not in cabins. The weather!!! It rained the entire time we were there!!!. Have to pay for the shower. none. None. Extremely expensive little city. Wi-fi was terrible, it didn't work at all. Couldn't connect. Room was tiny. Quite pricey for a hostel (200 USD per night), and towels cost extra to rent. No TV, no towels.
