Our first time at Tanoa and we very much enjoyed it. It was great value for money. Comfortable room and beds and even a view despite being in the courtyard. Staff are friendly, food in the restaurant was nice and the service was professional. Will use again. PS: very comfortable couches in the lobby!!. To our family--we had three rooms---the Lodge was a most perfect stay.My elderly wife has walking trouble so the helpful gentleman, who booked us in ,arranged a room(401)with shower only,which was an advantage.The food was excellent & the quiet comfortable lounge finished off a busy,wonderful day.

The hotel is very clean...the housekeepers do a excellent job. Loved the staff. Every one of them were friendly, helpful and accommodating. (Those that we dealt with) I.e the restaurant girls, Gina, M.... (and Yanek) and wonderful blondie (Hayden? No, some name like that) on reception. He was gr8!. Very good hotel in quiet location on edge of Queenstown. Excellent parking, laundry( small charge) internet( small charge) enjoyed continental breakfasts and lite bite one night. Highly recommended, excellent value. Super beautiful lakeview of the Lake Wakatipu and very quiet environment, but a little far away from the town centre of Queenstown. it is a good choice for those who don't like Queenstown's noisy. The staff were really helpful and very friendly, the rooms were spacious, warm and clean, the views were to die for, the bus stops right at the front door. All in all it's a great place to stay. Loved the atmosphere, the place, our view & the staff were all very kind and helpful. This peace was just great to stay! I felt comfortable & rooms were warm & clean. I slept on a single bed, and the mattress was coming off the base. My girlfriends bed was uncomfortable. My girlfriends dinner came out a lot later than mine, due to a mix up. Staff didnt notice until I asked where her meal was. We did get a free drink each. The fact that an advertised king bed was just two singles pushed together with. This was very uncomfortable and disappointing as everything else was lovely. Needs to be addressed!. I didn't like the fact that there was an adjoining door to the next room. It would have been great if my colleague and I were needing to meet (She was in another room down teh hall) and if it were a family but I felt unsafe, even though it was locked. Nothing. Location fine if you have a car but a bit far if you have to walk into town. everything was good .. All good. That I had to leave!. The spa, needs cleaned!!. We can hear guest from next room knocking at the door at 2am which was very disturbing, I even woke up and check, I think the walls are not double wall or sound proof... Poor water pressure in the showers. If possible more choices for breakfast .Found breakfast staff were quite rude as customers were not aware of which breakfast was paid one and which continental as there was no signs allocated. The mattress was not comfortable. Facilities need a new paint job. One of the toilets are not well cleaned. Maybe the cleaners must have missed out. No worries we will still come to Tanoa. noise through the night with the thin walls. bed a bit soft, food value. Room was too hot at night. Shower water was a little strange as took too long to hear up. Next day too hot. the heating was tricky to stabilise. Some road noise from buses, but not too major.

Queenstown sits on the 45th parallel in the southwest corner of the South Island of New Zealand. Getting here is easy as Queenstown International Airport is well served by major airlines.

Air New Zealand and QANTAS Airways make international and domestic flights into Queenstown. There are daily direct domestic connections from New Zealand's main centres: Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Queenstown Airport is located 15 kilometres from Aspen Queenstown Tanoa Hotels.

Access by road is a wonderfully scenic option - drive yourself or catch a scenic coach tour.

From Queenstown Airport turn right onto highway 6. You will come to a roundabout where you need to turn left onto Frankton Rd, which will take you to the centre of town. Once in the town centre, turn left at the roundabout into Shotover St, leading onto Lake Esplanade. At the end of Lake Esplanade you will come to a roundabout, turn onto Fernhill Road and go up the hill. Keep going until you reach Aspen Queenstown Tanoa Hotels on the left hand side.
