The ambience of the bar was lovely, the breakfast very yummy and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Personnel were so friendly and helpful; breakfast was excellent; bathrooms were very modern and very clean.The room was fantastic, the breakfast was perfect. Location. The receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurants and cafes as well as the city of Maastricht. Her kindess and out-going personality made my stay an exceptional one.

In the morning there was a lot of noice from the neighbours. The rooms were very noisy.The Hotel in our street had a coffee shop( Drug Cafe ) accross the road with noisy visitors late through the night. to be honest, the room was much smaller than we are used to. and the decor was very ordinary. I would certainly recommend the hotel to people who really want or need to be in the centre of town.The wi-fi signal was weak in my room and I had to connect from the reception area. The bed was absolutely horrible! I´d never became seasickness in bedbefore. It ruins my back! A lot of noise because of the coffeeshop onthe opposite side of the street. No tea making facilities in bedroom was disappointing. Wireless internet was not always available, especially at peak times.Poor service in getting at taxi for getting on time to trainstation. No parkingplace. Only in a public parking garage.This hotel is in dire need of renovation. The same silk orchids I saw there 5 years ago were still there, covered in dust. Cheap lighting fixtures, bad wiring and mismatched marble in bathrooms. It looked like it had seen better times. The breakfast bar was so dark it was impossible to make a selection of food. I got a room on the top level. There was no internet and the window could not be closed. The heating was not turned on so it was a rather cold stay!. The hotel did not lift, baggage handling is very difficult, causing us great distress. Electric kettle dirty, did not seem like a cleansing. i wanted to work on my lap top at the small console desk provided-it was poorly lit and the stool was too low to sit comfortably without using the cushions from the bed. Dinner the food was poor and very slow. Lighting in the room was poor. Room was dusty and little was done making up the room each day.

In the morning, there is a buffet breakfast with a wide variety of bread, smoked salmon and fruit salad. Behind the house, there is a private garden which, in summer, is available for our guest. The vibrant centre of Maastricht offers a wide range of cafes where you can enjoy your evening.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00, Monday to Friday, and 07:30 to 10.30 Saturday and Sunday.

Lunch is available on request.

Dinner is served on Monday and Wednesday and until Saturday. The kitchen is closed on Sunday and Tuesday.

The hotel, housed in historic premises dating from 1752, occupies a favourable and secluded position between the river Meuse and the marketplace in the centre of town. The hotel accommodates 22 unique rooms, fully furnished in the English style, each provided the standard listed facilities.

Please note that all rooms are only accessible by stairs. Please note that 1 extra bed are only available for the Junior Suite and Deluxe Double or Twin Room. This is subject to availability and has to be requested in advance.

Maastricht is surrounded by the beautiful hilly landscape with many nice hiking and cycling routes. Cities such as Liège and Aachen are just 30 minutes by car from the city centre of Maastricht. On the edge of city of Maastricht there is a golf course that is situated in a historical area.

Travelling information

BY CAR:
Entering Maastricht from the A2 highway, turn right at the crossing and follow the signs "PARKEREN CENTRUM WEST'.

Keep on driving straight ahead, cross the river Maas and take the first exit at you're right hand "CENTRUM WEST'.

At the end of the exit you’ll have to turn right again. Keep on driving straight ahead (with a small curve to the left) in the direction of the Maasboulevard. After approximately 100 meters you will find hotel d'Orangerie on a corner at you're right hand side (corner van Hasseltkade/Kleine Gracht).

On the Kleine Gracht there are only parking spaces for license-holders; We ask you only to park here for the check-in and turn you're emergency lights on (blinker). This way you will not get a parking fine.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
From Maastricht you can take a bus to 'Markt', which leaves very often. The bus will take about 15 minutes. From 'Markt' you have to go to 'Kleine Gracht', you will find the hotel at your left hand at the end of the street.
