  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay.   We stayed at a newly renovated room and the design and comfort was perfect, room was also very clean. - Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast, tea/coffee maker. In our room there was a bathroom with (dark) glass wall - so you can see what's happening inside from the room - you have to decide on your own whether it's a plus or not :)

  My husband and I had a lovely time. The staff was so friendly and theroom was cute, clean and tidy. The location is quiet and still close tothe centre. We loved having air conditioning! We also asked thereception if they could wake us up at 6.00 am on the morning we had toleave, and the receptionist (friendly guy!!!) very kindly, knocked onour door... what people say » at 6.00 am spot on!! The view was very nice, right on the Amstel river, giving you the sensation you were actually floating. There was no reception, so you were on - Stayed in the suite - nicely decorated, tons of kitchen tools, two 2 piece bathrooms, lovely continental breakfasts each day and hosts that were very friendly and eager to please. The host also provided a ton of detailed directions for us before our arrival. They were also very responsive to our emails and texts.
