We booked late at 11pm and checked in half an hour later and it wasn't a problem. Rooms are large and even though the bathrooms are shared they are very clean. There is also a high quality Turkish restaurant in the house where we were offered some tasters. Location is very good in a cosy side street. -

Good host who provided useful local information on nearby pubs and cafes. Very close to Central station and tram routes. Flat well sourced with tea/coffee and travel guides/maps. Luckily we were on first floor - good tip to ask for this flat. Able to leave bags in cycle shop next door which was also run by our host. Very good value for centre

There were so many thoughtful touches in our room. We had a choice of coffees in our room, cookies, water, and a light breakfast if we wanted to eat there. I have never been to more romantic place than this. You can have a glass of good wine on the terrace in the evening and watch the full moon reflecting in the watter just 3 meters in front of you. In the morning you can spend ages by waking yourself up by a mug of hot coffee and feeding the ducks with bread and you will have the feeling you can nearly touch them. Loved our stay at B+B bloembed, stayed 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! Friendly, helpful hosts, great breakfast which you can eat at your leisure, excellent location on a beautiful canal. Situated in Jordaan which has plenty of good restaurants and brown cafes. The room was clean, warm and a good size for 2 people with luggage. Great value for money, will stay here on our return to Amsterdam!
