The room was excellent . Really worth the money paid for compared to other similar rated hotels in Malacca.The faciliites in the room and around the hotel is up to mark.The breakfast was good speaking on Malaysian standards. I mean what else can you ask for the price you are paying.I can see some reviews giving bad remarks about the breakfast , but please remember that the price you are paying is inclusive of the room & breakfast so please don't be so demanding.I have stayed in 5 different .
all reviews » A hotel that I would definitely recommend to my friends and had done so a couple of time. The rooms are definitely spacious and well-maintained. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good spread for buffet breakfast but after coming there for about 4 times, the spread are basically the same. Change the spread quarterly would be a good idea The rooms provide the best of both sea and city view which I manage to see the sun rise during early morning during my last stay. It is cen. we stayed at the Hatten Hotel for four days and loved it. there is an ongoing addition being built but it had no effect on us. the room was beautiful with a view. We had a sofa to sit on. the bathroom was spot on and the staff were friendly and efficient. Pool and Gym were excellent. it is a busy hotel and the breakfast room is full except at about 7.30am but the staff make sure you are seated and it was a varied selection buffet style. We would return and would recommend it to others. the c. EVERYTHING. Was here a second time and the guys there somehow were able to top my previously, already excellent experience. The guys there know how to treat their guests; young/old/families/etc... Hatten really caters to all. Love the location as well. Walking distance from Jonker Street, other great places to dine at (without blowing a hole in your pocket) and 5-10mins drive away from other places of interest. Everything was ok for me untill i n hubby wanted to go for our breakfast it was a long Q waiting n it nv ever happen in my life tat goin for breakfast we hv to Q. And d breakfast.was like more on chinese food.no doubt is halal n i tink they hv to adjust d breakfast menu. The room service supervisior name Rini was very helpful n courteous to us when we ask abt wic plc in melaka hv a gd bbq food n she showed us d route to go. Overall am satisfied but only d breakfast part i was disappointed. - The Front Counter Staffs is so friendly esp Syaza Nurizzaty. She recomended us a breath taking sea/ town view room.. - Hatten Hotel manager Mr. Dyawne have gone extra miles by allowing us to cancel one room extra we had reserved a month earlier due to uncalled emergency . - Really njoy the Hatten Hotel Swiiming pool. Our agenda coming to malaka was for medical check up at Mahkota Medical Center, so Hatten is the best hotel next to it. The bridge from parking lot and lobby to shopping center is definitelly a value added to visitor so we don't have to go crossing outside street. Nice view... great food... Pillows, room clean and new ,pool at night,convenient store at Hatten square to buy some bites,walking distance to Jonker street. I was wondering why they had 2 tvs in the room abd so many doors. Turns out they had hindsight. The room is spacious for the 3 of us, bed is super comfy, appreciate having 2 television in the room although channel selection is limited. I absolutely adore the rain shower head. The selections for breakfast are excellent. 1.I love the rooms as they have 2 TVs . As travelling with family of young children we don't have to quarrel over the tv channels. 2. It is within distance to the historical & shopping centres. 3. Breakfast is also not bad as they have variety of menus . The room was spacious to fit a family of four. The items in the mini bar was complimentary for customers, however was only told of it on last day of stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating, despite the high traffic flow during our period of stay. The room was clean and the staff nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of choice. Chinese food, Indian food, Continental breakfast, ... The location of the hotle is not bad, 15 minutes by walk to the city center. The view on the sea. The staff are very friendly and considerate. The lifts to the car park and the hotel is separate so I have to come to the lobby and take another lift everytime I wanted to go to the car park but not really a hassle though. I would like to suggest to the hotel to review the parking ticket endorsement. I know its free for the hotel guests but I have to come down to the reception to get the ticket endorsed everytime I want to take my car out of the buliding. Something more user friendly perhaps. Only 1 remote control for 2 TVs. There seem to be plenty of lifts but they were used by a lot of people and we had to wait a lot. this may be sorted when the final bit is done. it did not detract from our stay at all. N/A. Breakfast utensils could be cleaner, but it didn't bother us much anyway. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DISLIKE! :D. My only complain is sometime cannot get room. I usually need at least two rooms. I had bought yr special rate voucher during a fair n till now still unable to use it n is expiring this May. Nothing. Basically nothing we do not like. well-patronised so can be crowded, wait for lifts, for table at breakfast, pool is small considering the many rooms. It was rather crowded and we often had to queue to the breakfast and lifts - but it never really took a long time. The WiFi worked pretty well once we got it running, but logging in usually took quite a while and had some occasional hiccups (only a very minor inconvenience, of course). Just the lift. Have to wait for 15-20 minutes to get to lobby from parking lift during the packed weekend. The lift was a bit anoying too as the slot card only available on the right side of the key panel. So those who are standing at the left side have to ask people at the right side to slot the card for their room level. And the car park you have to share with people to is going to hatten square for shopping as well as there are using the same parking space. Nothing as far we are concern. We called housekeeping twice to request for a firm pillow and waited to no avail. In the end, husband had to go personally to remind them again. Room maintenance is a bit off - leakage found in our bathroom. Nothing. rooms were more expensive during school holidays. - I am booked on pool view room & been provided a city view room, however, i am understood from the officer that the rooms was fully occupied. - I am satisfied on the explanation, just a minor disappointed... 1) there's no special parking lots for hotel guests & carpark is shared with the public. 2) level 4 carpark onwards lifts is not excessible to hotel rooms & need to take carpark lift to level 12 then to our premier floors. 3) the swimming pool is too cold even its daytime under hot sun. I don't like having room on 12 floor since the window would be having a "wall" view... for a family hotel, i expected having a bath tub... Hair conditioner of extremely poor quality. Requests for extra pillow and tissue (no tissue when we check in ) were attended to,but it came 2 hours late while we were asleep and luckily we latch the door because the stuff wanted to barge in almost immediately. Otherwise, a nice place indeed. No wifi in the room and the quality of breakfast is not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. The link way to the Palawan Shopping is great, it will be greater when the shops are being occupied and open for business. There were some issues though- they were to give us a welcome fruit platter that turned out to be 4 fruits! No knife was provided to cut the fruit! The aircon in our room was not working very well -it was not as cool as it could be. It would have been good if the restaurant provided water at no cost - the mineral water was 6 ringgit!. Could so with a wifi in rooms. So we need not go to the recept down stairs for wifi ;( lifts were a bit wonky. Could do with a more specific maintenance. No wifi in the room due to staff explanation that it's newly built, so only can link it in the hotel lobby. But when I tried in the lobby, it still can't be connected. Housekeeping is abit slow. The link bridge from Hotel to Mahkota closed at 8 pm which is quite inconvenience for my family to cross the road from Mahkota building back to Hatten Hotel after 10 pm. In additional, it will more wonderful, the link provide extended shelter all the way to Mahkota and the Hotel. I am looking forward for improvement in this area. Thank you. Having to change lift to go to car park. Having to validate parking ticket each time i need to drive out of the hotel. There is only one restaurant to accommodate large number of customers. But hotel had planned ahead by opening up the ballroom to accommodate this high turn-ups. Really nothing... I was there from 20/12 - 22/12. I have booked 3 rooms & requested for early check in. I got 1 room upon arrival around noon. The other room I got it around 3 pm and the last room I got around 4 pm. The check in is rather slow especially the last room. The lift is also complicating as certain lifts stop at the carpark. not reflective of Malaysian culture - very North American style. some travellers would like this but we prefer something with more 'local flavour'. i was given room 2062, the aircon is not as cold as other 3 rooms which my family stayed in. Maybebecause its a corner room. But the room is bigger then the rest. They should improve on their house keeping staff.Too many foreigners and they do not understand our language.Find it hard to communicate with them. -housekeeping service responds rather slowly and sometimes assigns inexperienced staff (but to be fair, performs job decently well). Check-In process a bit slow, take about 1/2 hour. - None!!. The staff who did the check-in for me. I was given 3 rooms' keys and was told to go back again to check-in for another 2 rooms & resulted in my group being separated. She ignored my request to group us in a cluster during the very first check-in. I think she doesn't have right attitude of a service staff. The food (during breakfast) too simple and hopefully make it variety in the future just like Le Meridien. The only thing i don't like is the carpark. Because we are using the same carpark as he shoppers and due to that i have to drive upper level to get a carpark which is near to the hotel lift. Nothing. Tq.
