Staff is just awesome! Hayatt is my favorite here in Malaysia as far as service is concerned. Location is perfect: Telok Chempedak is a natural beautuful bay, the beach is clean in spite of the fact that public beach has no visible birder with the hotel. Many shops and cafes are outside, and still it's nice and clean. The beach is clean. The room is comfortable. There are a lot of varieties of food for breakfast. Besides, can enjoy other food nearby the hotel. Very relax to take a break from city life.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, location of the hotel was excellent! So near the sea =). Everyone is friendly and check-in is also smooth. We also got a late check-out upon request. The food is good but we had bad experience in the buffet ! Fish was raw and the staff for the grill was not very nice! We requested for grill fish, beef fillet but he insist that we take from the tray that they have place ! Unfortunately the tray was always empty .... I am not sure what buffet was this In the end we had to go for cook food. We like the beach & the facilities such big swimming pool. The location is near to the food centre. I didn't like that the building with Delux rooms we stayed in is located a bit far from the beach, I mean, it's a bit tricky to get there through some passages, doors, elevators...Though when I expressed my concern we were immediately offered a room closer to the pool area. Buffet dinner didn't boast a great selection, but lobsters were really something!. The adult swimming pool is small. Very limited parking lots at carpark A especially during weekends. Have to park at carpark B which is isolated and no gaurd mans at the entrance. The room we got had a bath with clogged drain, but we got another room. The resort is a bit old. Its a bit pricey to frequent it!. The bathroom was not so clean and the houskeeping staff, very noisy - 3 came to make one room! Plus the efficient waiters from the "Sampan Bar" were over-worked, going from one hotel outlet to the other - therefore leaving guests unattented for 20 minutes or more. The Indian waiters were very good, just felt sorry for them and management should do something about this - look after your staff!. Aircondition very hot. shower leaking, bathroom floor wet. Waiting time during check in. (1) no carpet on the floor of rooms. (2) NON-HALAL drink in the freezer. (3) bathroom with no "border" till water can came out, not suitable for origin travellers with small kids.... -room's floor a abit sticky. -probably i got a garden view room, therefore insects in the room. The king size bed could be a little softer. Service level not up to the mark - very slow. slightly less well maintained than 10 to 15 years ago, wifi service unsatisfactory - info given says free wifi for 1 hour but it does not inform that as long as it is used once it is counted as an hour , even if only used 10 mins. It should be free for a hotel of this status. the two bed in the room is too small. Hyatt should provide a bigger single bed for more comfort. Most 5 star hotel that we stayed has bigger single bed (not necessarily queen size bed). The interior arrangement make the room look small and deem. a bit pricey. Please upgrade your children room beside to swimming pool. Buffet dinner not worth the money. Foods are not delicious. The water heater is bad function and make us have a almost cold shower after swimming. The air cond is "too cold" which 30 c is like 20 c! Terrible! Is definely not 5star standard compare to 4star hotel tat I stay at Kuantan b4. The facility for children is too simple. Mosquitoes in the early morning. Bearable. hot air in lifts. the service is really badfor the price (ie have to ask for bedroom cleaning at 7pm!). Too noisy (ie kids in the room next door + people doing fireworks everynight and leaving all their rubbish on the beach -> ie no beach cleaning from the employees?!). Service at breakfast is atrocious and food cold drinks tepid. The room is beyond expectation for 5 star hotel. Less variety of food at the cafe & the taste also as per standard. The safety of swimming pool must be clearly show & no safe guard at the pool. The bathroom not well maintain. The aircond room a bit noisy which we need to change a room for the 2nd nite, I believe this is new hotel which all the equipment still working very well. Room decoration also beyond the 5 star hotel should be. Staff is horrible..bathroom leaking..need serious refurbishment.. Hotel room, especially the bathtub and fixtures need to be upgraded. Sofa at the reception area is dirty. Quality of Rooms,Staff need to be more trained. The price is too expensive with this kind of hotel room. I am expecting a better room. The breakfast is not part of the expensive price. I think this hotel is mend for the foreigner. Perhaps this is my first and last since, I think I can get better option with that amount of money. Horrible service ever!. Lobby toilets were so dirty and facilities in the guest room were insufficiently replenished. More like a 4-star hotel service.
