For such a quality hotel, I would consider it to be cheap and very good value for money. The room is spacious and clean. Love the design of room which has a large sofa and a King size bed. The flat screen TV set is put in between the bed and the sofa and has a 360° rotating board, this gives me the luxury to enjoy watching tv, either from the bed or from the sofa. From the room, especially the guest who can request higher floor room, can see quite good view of the city and it is beautiful. The .
all reviews » I am at bkk, and so I cannot use Japanese fonts. The Hotel was very good to me, because it was not expensive (good & less expensive). It was enough clean, quite luxuary and comfortable. I want to stay at this Hotel again next time. Facilities are good and hotel is comfortable. Breakfast was good. Free wi fi connection but connection last for short while and re-connection needed from time to time. Nice to have a swimming pool though a bit small. I spend a lot of time in KK, and, I pretty much live in a local backpacking lodge, when I'm in town, but, when I want a break from the lodge, I come to the SOH, for a relaxing stay at an affordable price. Reasonably priced 4 star hotel, with amenities including a sauna, gym (and pool, but not seen/used). Rooms ok, with safe-box. Comfortable. Location. The mood of the hotel, really calming.. Initially they requested 800 ry for 4 nights when I arrived at the Hotel. They did not give me details of the payment. I had payed 680 ry for 4 nights including Tax. I had to get password of the internet every day. It was not convenient. No shops nor shopping malls nearby. Only a small van (about 10 or 12 seats) was used for the free shuttle service and we found no vacancy in the shuttle van in one morning. RM12 and RM15 for taxi to city centre and to far side of the city centre respectively. I really wish the pool were open until later at night, say 'til 10 PM. Why have a pool and close it early in the evening?. Need a taxi to get anywhere. Walking to town center not far, but in hot humid climate not pleasant. Reservation not in system, got the wrong reservation (1 instead of 2 nights/different price) Spotted this at the counter and the number of nights was corrected. Price was slightly higher, but confused if this was tax etc. Room service did not change my towel yet maybe i hang it up so they may thought i want to use it again. The pillow too thin for my level. Previously provide free extra pillow. Dislike toilet bowl design. I dont know why. Slightly out of the way but absolutely walkable to town centre. Taxis are cheap if you don't fancy it. Out of the six rooms that we booked and fully paid, three of us had to wait till 4pm to check in because they were not ready. The staff did not initiate to make the wait comfortable. The aircons were not cold enough. there's no host pipe in the toilet. food is good but late refill. desert (pieces cakes) no taste. 1 egg/omelette stall is not enough since long queue. Pillow smell unpleasant and lightbulb blinking on tea preparation area. Lights above photoframe blackout. 2 switch not functioning, it trips the aircond when I switched it on. Bread for sandwich not fresh. Room a little bit worn. AC doesn´t work on last night, and is much better to pay in the local currency (riggits) instead of foreing money (very bad exchange rate). Only one wifi account for one room. The aircond is not really function. Internet wireless. shuttle bus should have more trips compare to 2 trips per day only.. walking to the town takes 10 minutes.. -more bus service. -should put down the tax fees.- provide bigger television - sometimes the channel is blank and back to normal after few seconds - stayed for 4 nights, breakfast seems to back to same after 3 days, not many choice. don't like the location and need to cross several avenue and cross-road to reach another side. Hotel quite old which explains the low price. a bit far from tourist attraction like Philipine Market, Sunday Market. Have to take cab and cost around RM10/trip. Pool area is run down Bit of a walk to city centre but we knew that when we booked Front desk staff were a bit surly. Morning breakfast are same and only serve western. Need to consider more local food. The river view are bad cause the water are dirty with rubbish. The buffet breakfast served was not value-for-money. Pillows in the room are rather old and thin. Can here noise or voices from the next room. The location was bit far away from the centre although there is a shuttle that goes at certain times. The hotel is tired looking but you get what you pay for. Bathroom in a poor state and rail on bath loose and dangerous. pretty dark corridor and poor facility. Way too expensive. Too far from town and shuttle only into waterfront three times a day and no return. Advertised as four star only two to three star as rooms musty and tired. Our room was not clean, we had problems with the shower and also bugs in the room. Had to change room. The second room had a really noisy ac and the staff promised to fix it but didn'T. The minibar was empty in our first room. Booked the room for RM172++ and end up paying RM200 upon check in. However, I found out the hotel offer better rate for 2 days 1 night stay,which is RM159++. The toilet was so dirty. Tha bath tub also didnt cleaned properly. Not recommended.
