  This is not my first stay. I experience few stay of bad services. I forgotten to bring down my parking ticket from room, and the guy ask for tips in order for me to exit. Also I was book non-smoking room and was given a heavy smoking room and also it was a connecting room, next room smoke heavily all night long and it comes over from the door gap.... what people say » However this latest stay was excellence. They have no more non smoking room, only smoking room althought I check-in at 1400hrs. I explain my previous - The location is very near to JB central, so easy to access bus for long distant main attractions like Hello Kitty, JPO MALL, Legoland etc. Buffet good, as I am a vegetarian, they offered me to select one vegetarian item to order as a-la-carte since menu was mainly non-vegetarian -- staff friendly and helpful --

  The excellent welcome we had and the good meal in the poolside restaurant. The Manager was very hands-on and had initiated a programme of refurbishment. The pool was very nice and the views over the Straits from the front of the hotel were lovely. It appeared to be a popular hotel for business and families. I was travelling alone and they were especially attentive to ensure that I was safe and well looked after. The location is great, especially for a driver over the border into Singapore. The restaurant serves Italian-Japanese fusion which I had never experienced before but was really great. The live music added a nice touch.

Room is not too small though it's not so big but there are spaces to move around.   We had the pool terrace room which the kids fell in love with as the pool is right outside our room. The deck outside the room served as a wonderful place to relax and watch the kids swim or to sip coffee in the morning or evening. The staff were friendly, especially the cafe staff.   Tidy for the overall resort - Tranquility of the area, decor was classic but at least its not run down. The japanese restuarant though small, serves nice food and not expensive as well. Has a Gym room and its equipment is well maintain. Probably because nobody use it.
