We stay here for 1 night only after our trip to Legoland Malaysia,it's take about 25min or 25km from Legoland to New York Hotel.. the room was spacious for family which they provide 1 king with 1 single bed, and the suite it's big also. Breakfast with many food selection,mostly Malaysian food.I like hot omelette stall ready to go concept..so you don't hv to Q . At night we just having our dinner at the stall in front of our hotel ,many shop and option. The location was so good,nearby to Singapore and Johor Bahru town/Legoland Malaysia in Nusajaya,food was so good and me and my family are enjoying our holiday in Johor Bahru as well. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Location was pretty ok, just a short ride to nearby KSL mall. The family room is spacious. Close to eating outlets. Good breakfast choice. Staff very friendly and immediate response from maintenance team. Overall a good stay and room is quite spacious. Room was spacious n nice. Reception was warm. The key to access the room is not function very well and we have to get it renew everytime we wanted to open the door. The hotel looks a bit aged , no flat TV in my room. pool are small. TV facilities same like few year back when i stayed there,because still old TV. Should be Flat screen TV and more ASTRO Channel. Breakfast not that good. The main lift close at 11pm. the food is not very good especially the fruits....not very fresh and it has been cut into so big pieces....does not represent the hotel standard. Lift cos there is a lift not connect to ground floor and a bit confusing. nothing to say. The lift service was poor. Had hard time going for bfast as the lift can't cope with the crowd. And worse is the lift serving the carpark..... Need to revamp the lift.!!!!!. None. The unstable wifi connection. the lifts is too old n some noisy. one of the registration staff didn't give a good explanation about our facilities/hotel cost during our spending time 2 days in the hotel luckily the senior staff of the hotel resolved it for us. I found cockroaches crawling around just at the bedside table...yuck! The toiletries provided were too small a bottle to be shared by two person!. TV in the room - old tv and very limited channels. Wifi on level 20 is unstable. Food not tasty, need more improvement on the food menu. Improvement required on the cleanness on the hotels corridors and lift. Design abit old. Hotel shld undergo a revamp every 5 years... Cups n saucers were dirty. 3 cockroaches in the bathroom! Morning newspaper missing, poor lighting in the room. The room door lock! I had a difficult time opening the door with the key. I had to go down to the reception area each time I came back . It's time to change your keys!. The staff, not so friendly. I've asked extra pillow because there is only three pillows in the room, and there is 3 of us. The pillows never come even though i've called the housekeeping. The food serve at the restaurant are not delicious at all, the dining hall crouded and lack of stall clearing the table. Didn't expect there is gst for the price. Other countries which I book thru letsbookhotel.com does not charge me gst.... 1. Room smelled of tobacco smoke- called recpt. & was told that smoking is allowed in every rm??? But why bother with the "smoker / non-smoker" sel.in the booking form? 2. Water "over flowing / leaking" but all taps were dry??? 3. The uncovered/un-grilled "air-well". Someone can be thrown down to his/her death?. fasiliti lama.... Price: letsbookhotel.com say RM500.00 for 2 night but hotel ask for RM580.00..so I can say your promotion is lies. Thank You. 1) room i stayed infested with cockroaches.. 2) aircon controller spoilt. therefore cant control the aircon. Front counter staff not efficient. She was not very pleasant. Making mistake to my payment mode. But account dept staff made effort to call me to explain. He was nice. We don't like everything about this room I got... No flat screen tv as mention on the web page... Lift is horrible... Long waiting time... Even got 3 lift...Door card can't work the 1st time We reach our room.. Need to travel all the way down to lobby from 19th floor and update the door card again... Wall got hole.. Lousy bath area.. No safe box.. Air con too cold even tune to 28c.. Unfriendly staffs... TV was old CRT, the booking said Flat screen TV did not work at all. I said this twice to the front desk staff and they totally blanked and ignored the request to have it fixed. During the night there was alot of shouting and loud music and TVs. Upon checking in I asked the staff what time is the checking out time and the reply was 2 pm. The next day that we were due to check out, a staff called our room at 12 noon asking us to leave. Heater was faulty and when told, staff came with a kettle after which nothing is being done. Not a hotel that I would suggest to friends. Very poor lift, bathroom not as per 5 star hotel. Cleanliness esp the bathtub and sink. Strands of hair. The packets of sugar provided are not enough for another cup of coffee. Its breakfast and the bare minimum bathroom accessories and the towels have a certain odor unlike a fresh sunshined towel smell . - Limited tv channels. - Quality of breakfast. Lack of lift (only 3 operating) for 25 floor capacity. Elevators need some upgrading / maintenance. Check in takes for ever !. Few cockroaches in room. We requested non smoking room but, when we open the room's door, full of smell' smoke. Stayed 18th floor and good way to view around JB, but the room's window covered by moss. Poor toiletties. Not really happy. They hotel is quite old needs refurbishments. Lift are too slow. Breakfast selection is the same through out. On arrival, could not find my booking & when she did, read out the wrong Hphone number. Hotel was running full but one elevator out of 3 is working. Instead of 2 nites, I decided to stay 1 nite & dayuse till 6pm next day. 1)Buffet breakfast although extensive was not replenished, so if you arrived the last hour, you were scraping the scraps... 2) indoor smoking stinks up the whole place...and enforcement of no smoking law indoors lacksadaisical at best 3) shower leaked, hot water kettle broken - took staff half 3hrs to bring replacement, aircon only 2settings- full blast cold or off. Hotel New York has definitely seen better days. We checked out the following day, manager did not put up a fuss. The hotel is badly maintain. Not worth the money. Poor & not make sense why I choose to stay the Hotel by misleading photos on webpage... no proper maintenance of the inner interior. Poor image of the staff respond to hotel guest I have experience... very bad when request for the House Keeping, not turn up/ respond to quest ...
