we enjoy the spa swimming pool, my 2 year-old son enjoyed it very much, and the breakfast is delicious ( even though the roti canai is not as good as INDIAN made..haha). I like the location bayview hotel.....very near to penang town...and i enjoy the hotel food n morning breakfast.....The rate hotel very vert cheap others hotel....Friendly staff, help desk for travellers available (to book tickets for the ferry), wonderful room+bathroom.

I didn't realize that if you want to have a double bed you have to request it on booking, however despite being originally issued a twin bedroom the staff. The WiFi connections in the rooms enabled easy access to the internet. immediately fixed that problem.Location of hotel to getting around city very good. Also, when we checked in and shown our room we found the noise level in the next room bothersome. Right away our complaint was recognized and we were transferred to a quiet room. The comfortable feeling and good view.everyting positive. Good location. Neat clean hotel. Very spacious, well furnished rooms. Good breakfast. Prompt service. So far no comment ,but just want to high light for guest stay in hotel the rate internet per hour is very expensive. Nothing wrong during this stay. for the price, a good value. Nil. room smoking smile. mattraesses are a bit too hard. - building seems to be very old and needs some maintenance works, carpet in room was very dirty, too less non smoking floors. There was only 2 lifts available; and one of them is a fireman's lift. Only 1 lift was in service during the morning I checked out. Took a long time waiting for the lift. Complimentary breakfast. Plenty of room to improve. Needs more varieties.The breakfast buffet was disappointing compared to other Penang and Malaysian hotels I stayed at. Car Park lift. Even though the lift is big enough but each time only can load about 4-5 person. Long waiting for car park lift.Reception staff was kind of reluctant to help/advice. People at the reception are not that helpful, also, taxis near the hotel are so expensive and never use the meter. 1. The parking is rather difficult to do and parking space for a single car is too small. The parking lift is not in good working condition. The food at the rest.are pure and room service as well.There were water stains at the window the hotel should look into cleaning. The TV channel was a bit limited. One channel seems to go fuzzy and buzz every few seconds intimitently ( sounds like a taxi radio frequency cutting thru ) and the safe was locked by the previous guests staying there, the parking could be improved as it was a bit creepy if you are alone. the pool was tiny and it was a little out-dated. also the breakfast choice was poor.I found roaches in my room and it was disgusting, every night I would find one or 2 running around the room. Lift to parking park is very slow and room carpet a little bit dirty. Asking for sugar to make tea in the room, we get it the next day...bad location, poor hotel. Hotel very old, in bad shape, and great need of refurbishment.I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone. Although it has amenities such as pool, gym and revolving restaurant - all are too dirty or uninviting to bother using. Lobby is ok, but hotel in general is shabby, very dirty,beds are terrible and staff not well trained. much better value can be had in Penang. There are better hotel which is cheaper and better.
