The hotel has free wifi, which is a good thing in Tokyo, where there are almost no free wifi spots around the city. On the other hand, the location of the hotel is fantastic, only a few minutes from Shinjuku station, one of the more convenient stations in Tokyo, where you can take both the Yamanote subway line and JR trains (both included in the Japan Rail Pass). Moreover, it's only a few minutes (by Yamanote subway) from Shibuya and Harajuku, very popular places for enjoying night life and vis.
all reviews » The hotel is clean, practical, and convenient. Size of room is small, but that's to be expected for a lot of hotels. I have to give a special shout-out to the hotel staff, who were EXTREMELY helpful in shipping one of our luggage to Narita Airport even though our flight outbound of Japan was still 8 days away. She helped filling out the form (has to be done in Japanese), and made sure that I am informed the luggage arrived at Narita airport at the correct terminal wing where the airline I was u. The staff was fantastic and enthusiastically assisted with directions and suggestions. They probably have larger rooms but the compartment room I requested for was affordable and clean and perfect for my purposes. The staff's english language capability was very good. Location, location, location. The Shinjuku location was excellent being close to subway and rail connection at the Shinjuku train and Shinjuku Nishiguchi subway stations which made touring a breeze. Shinjuku is an excellent touris. Location - 5 min walk from Shinjuku train station. Front desk staff - nothing was too much trouble for them - they provided me with a tower fan for use in room. Iron/Board was provided upon request. Directions were given to me for city locations when asked. Extremely polite and friendly staff. Breakfast was fine - good quality croissants and fruit juice. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Shower worked fine Good location for business meetings in the Shinjuku area. There was a lady at the reception (don't know her name but she said she recently celebrated her 27th birthday). She was very friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of tips to help with our Mt Fuji hike. She also helped us adjust to our stay and with our bags etc when we were checking out. Would like to commend her and thank her again!. Great location. One train ride from Narita airport to Shinjuku, taking the Narita Express, round trip. Heart of the shopping belts and within stops to Tokyo and Harajuku stations. Hotel rooms are of good size and are well furnished. MacDonald's is just at it's ground level. Superb location, room though small was fully equipped with bathroom (Shiseido toiletries provided!), kettle, tv, very cosy bed, enough space for luggag. Staff was really friendly, free wifi in room and hotel lobby!. Very nice and helpful staff at reception. A special thank you to Ms Mihoko Suda who went out of her way to provide directions to the beautiful night scene in Yokohama. Will stay there again next time in Tokyo. The staff are very nice and speak English very well. Free wifi. The location is quite ok not far from any Shinjuku public transportation area. There are mini-mart and Mc Donald near the hotel. - Very clean and quiet - although in very noisy environment - Staff is very helpful - Very close to Shinshuku station - Very close to restaurants and nightlife - You can "feel" the city Toky. The hotel rooms are very small (even for japanese standards!). I booked a single room and the room was hardly bigger than the size of my bed... Anyway, that was not a problem for me (I just went to the hotel to sleep). Unfortunately, the rooms are not well isolated, and you can hear very well the noise from the corridor (nevertheless, I'm afraid this is a problem in ALL hotels, so don't avoid this hotel just for that). It took a while to find the hotel (it's on top of McDonald's) especially during the night when we arrived at Tokyo for the first time. Breakfast was acceptable but not great. Room / hotel was too hot but I think this is general in Japan? Room was on the small side but main thing was the bed was comfortable / shower worked fine / good hot water. Didn't spend too much time in room anyway so no big deal. Maybe can consider providing breakfast. No guides as to how to exit from Shinjuku and get to Ibis hotel. When I booked it was for one room and twin beds. so the quantum of adult I've indicated as 1. Ended up we need to pay for additional adult. Not so much more but still it could have been more explicit when we book. We stayed 3 nights in Ibis each night about $110. Reasonable considering the room size and the proximity to the shopping belt and a train ride straight to Disneyland. Rooms are rather small but ok for this central location. nothing. poor air conditioning; thermostat not working so it was hot. Nothing. Every bathrooms floor is very squeaky. Loud enough to wake people up. The room is very small. But it is not surprising in Tokyo. Room a bit too small and walls are thin. Rooms are small : ( can't even open my luggage. The shower !!! It have to keep adjusting the hose so that the water inside the tub , that way the bathroom floor does not get wet!. Absolutely nothing!! This hotel is a very creditable model of the excellence expected and achieved in the Accor Group of hotels. It is difficult to find reception :). The breakfast menu could of had a bit more variety. The direction from Shinjuku to the hotel should be described in more detail by text i.e. get out of which exit from Shinjuku Station, then move on to the right for 300 meters, at the intersection the hotel locate on your left hand side. Just by looking at Google Map it could be easily lost when the hotel sits next to the intersection. Very small rooms. Staff at concierge can't really speak English. the wall is thin!. room is stuffy as window is sealed and air cond is not good function. breathing is terrible. small room. if there's openable window in room would be better, especially for smoking-able room. small room. Nothing that we do not like as all is fine. Room is small and bathroom is smaller. Good enough to use only for sleeping at night. I recommend checking shibuya or tokyo station area. If its way more expensive then stay in shinkjuku. Minimum facilities. The bad smell in the toilet. Hard to find at first (if you don't know the area). Directions clearly written by someone who either doesn't work there or doesn't think about what a tourist would see when arriving. Easy to fix, if they can be bothered though. The room was a bit small for 3 person. Air conditioning didn't work properly Rooms very small Had to pay 1000 yen for lost room key. Room small. Layout of triple room very cramped. Beds were nice and long enough but nowhere to even put down my suitcase and open it up on the ground, had to use a bed.
