  I like the view from the hotel and the hot spring very much. The hotel is very clean with nice decorations. Although the hotel is a bit far from the city, but they provide free shuttle bus and only 10 mins from the station. - A beautiful resort in a great location. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were some of the best we had while in Japan, and the Spa was an amazing experience one should not miss! And go to the Jazz Bar- truly great.

  As soon as I stepped into the Hotel I was amazed by the decor and traditional interior design. A staff member said I couldn't check in before 3pm (it was 12.30pm) but he said I could leave my bag there. So I left the building and went for my excursion to the Shirakawa-Go Unesco Village and came back around 7pm and he kindly checked me in. Awesome ... what people say » stay. The private onsen was incredible and clean. WOW I will be back - I really like the onsen in Takayama Ouan. They have 3 private onsen to choose. So if you don't want to go to public onsen they've other option. The breakfast is great and a lot of choices. My family really enjoyed the breakfast. Location is good also close to the train station. You can just walked for 5 minutes to the hotel from the station.

  The room was a good size for the 2 of us.The bed was comfortable and had nice room controls for the lights on the headboard. I wanted to try out the sauna/spa which sounded intriguing with the aromatherapy mist room, however it was only open in the evenings. Comfortable room , long bath. Takayama, beautiful walks down old streets. Recommend the Heritage houses and pathway walk that takes you rounds the back of town past many small shrines ans along to the park.nice shops to buy gifts.taste of traditional Japan.
