Great location- only a short walk to the old town and morning markets. Plenty of great places to eat in the surrounding streets. The onsen on site was a real treat! And it was nice to use their sister hotel's onsens which are walking distance from the ryokan. We loved the service. We were served green tea and local Hida beef jerky on arrival. All the staff were friendly and they were like ninjas when you come back to a completely turned down room with your futons set up. We didn't have dinner b. all reviews »
The staff is nice and friendly. There was a receptionist that worked during the evening hours, her English was good and she was really helpful! Whenever I had a question or needed something she would even go out of her way to help me.
Friendly staff, good japanese breakfast.
Good location, close to all the restaurants and not too far from Takayama station, about 10 minute walk.
It was kind of hard to find at first, it is down a little street.
Room was a bit out of date including leaking bath.
