The best hotel we stayed in and the best all round value. Right near the station and Universal studios. Big room with views of either Osaka Bay or Universal Studios. Perfect spot to visit the Aquarium, Giant Ferris Wheel,and markets in the Bay Area and also for the theme park. Ticket desk sells all the tickets you need in the area. Fantastic bathroom like a mini spa and a stylish separate toilet. We had three beds in our room and there was still room for three suitcases and space to sit in.
all reviews » Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and our room looked out over Universal Studios which was great! We stayed there for the purpose of visiting Universal Studios and the aquarium and it was perfectly located. They sell universal studios tickets in the hotel lobby which was so convenient and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is nice and modern and the staff were very helpful in every aspect of our stay. They even. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. They upgraded us to a nonsmoking room after I mistakenly made a reservation in a smoking room. There was a desk to purchase tickets for universal studios theme park, very convenient! Most of the staff spoke some English. It was only about a five minute walk to the park. There were lots of restaurants located nearby, Hard Rock Cafe, tgi Friday, Starbucks... We had a wonderful meal in the hotel lounge. 4 course meal, kids meal for the the little. This hotel is right next to Universal studios. You can watch the parade and the BackDrop from your room! It is also right next to the train station allowing easy and quick trips in to the city, and next to the ferry for a trip over to the Amazing Aquarium. We didn't eat at the restaurant as there are so many restaurant at Universal City, 3 minutes away. The cafe downstairs though was good for a coffee and cake, or hotdog for the kids. Fantastic location. Honestly, I like everything the Hotel has to offer, right from day one of my stay to the final day. I could not have asked for more or better. The services and assistance & advice given by the Hotel staff right down from the hotel front to the reception & housekeeping staff were just simply fabulous! Great location especially there is a shopping mall just beside the train station. We stayed 6 nights in Osaka but we spent most of the time outside of Osaka and we do not find it inconvenient to travel back to this hotel. We paid 48,000 yen for 6 nights which was incredibly value for money. Size of the room was spacious and was really clean. Would be back here the next time I'm back at Osaka. This is big hotel, close to the theme park Universal World. We got a very good price for the hotel, and room was perfect, spacious, clean, comfortable. Breakfast buffet is very good. You get discount on entrance to theme park if you stay here. I am not sure about the location if you want to visit the city of Osaka, but there is a train station a one minute walk away from the hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and have absolutely no complaints. We stayed in the standard King room and for the 3 night stay it was quite cheap. We had a great view of universal studios, and the short walk to the station, made it easy to commute to other locations. The universal city walk, has a lot of restaurants to eat at if you don't feel like traveling into Osaka. Hotel with unique interior, looks like sea environment (blue). Just walking 10 minute to go to Universal Studio or shopping or eating. Near hardrock café Osaka and Takoyaki museum (various delicious takoyaki). Please change your universal studio's voucher in the lobby of universal port hotel so you don't need long queuing in front of universal studio ticket counter. Rooms are really clean and the size was decent. Even though I didn't go with family I really felt the friendly family atmosphere. Right next to the Citywalk where all the restaurants and attractions are. The station is also really close so there is no need for a car. On top of these things, you had the choice of luxurious, lounge and cheaper restaurants. Of the three hotels myself and my group of friends stayed in during our visit to Japan, Universal Port Osaka was by far the most roomy and comfortable. We were all extremely impressed with the quality and value for money, as well as with the attitude and helpfulness of staff. We would definitely recommend to anyone who likes staying a bit out of the city. Love the room, spacious, excellent price, close to usj and it is the official hotel of usj. Received some discounts for small games and photos. Room view is usj and we got the 13th floor, which is the highest for the standard room. Wifi is unbelievable generous in the hotel including rooms. Stayed for 4 nights and we were impressed and enjoy it so much. Staff are very accommodating & helpful. Reservations team especially Reiko who handled our booking was very efficient & provided us with great customer sevice. The Hotel itself is good value as well as being a clean and upmarket Hotel. Highly recommended. The family rooms are excellent, our children loved it (especially the Elmo doorbell, the pyjamas and slippers); the staff were helpful; the location fantastic for Universal Studios, close to shops and the Aquarium accessed by the ferry right out the front of the hotel. As described by other travelers, this hotel is in a fantastic location next to the train station, Universal City Walk, and Universal Studios. The hotel staff are great. We had a room for four and it was fine. The bathrooms are superb. Love the location - easy access to USJ & Kaiyukan Aquarium. Near JR line so it's not a problem to travel to the city. Room is comfy and most importantly, there's free wifi in the room. I will stay there again when I'm back in Osaka. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It is very near to USJ and Kansai Airport. The staff are friendly and knows how to communicate in English. It is also very accessible to Shinkansen Station going to Kyoto which made it a perfect choice. We could have taken a train to the airport if our plane left a bit later. But the concierge arranged for the taxi, no problems! Better, the taxi took credit cards, since it cost over 10,000 yen ($100)!. They had an English tv channel ... they only have one movie. It is quite a good one but really?? Only one movie on constant replay? It is fun watching Japanese tv for a bit but sometimes it is nice to chill out to a movie after a long day of Universal fun. Nothing at all!. The pillow was not really comfortable. None. The elevator was too dark, but I'm sure some ppl like that. The staff was a little late in getting my baggage on my checkout. I felt it would of been faster to take our own bags. I'm not sure if this is a complaint but I wish the staff spoke some more English. Since it is a tourist attraction hotel I would assume that many foreigners would stay there but it didnt seem like a lot of them spoke any English. Location is too hard to find if you are first timer in Japan. bed was a little hard and no sound proofing from bathroom. There was - "absolutely nothing at all to dislike". The hotel was great, but obtaining food at the Universal City Walk was difficult because there were long lines, or in the case of Lawson, food storage. There was no signage to the hotel at the train station, whilst other hotels had. We had to lugg our luggages up/down the stairs from the train station to the ground level, on the way to the hotel. The beds are hard, even by Japanese standards. The pillows were terrible (filled with beads) but we bring our own so that saved the day. Check in time is at 1500hrs. It's kind of late for certain flights that landed early. If hotel provide service such as airport transfer, will be lovely. At approx $28 p/p for breakfast, was a little expensive. The pillows in the room take a little while to get used to. None. Compared to lunch, the breakfast buffet and its price does not offer value for money. There is no facilities to print documents such as boarding passes. Nothing-it was all good and comes highly recommended by us to all travellers. We were asked to pay extra for early check in. So we waited till 2pm before we could check in. nothing. The fact that we only stayed one night - could stay mush longer on next trip. The front staff service is not so good, never smell and speak little voice. The beds were a little harder than what we are used to. Check-in lady was a bit miserable!. Lack of English TV channels. the breakfast not so good, not many choice, and only a few type of bread can choose. TV channels. I couldn't find a single English channel on TV. 30 minutes to shinosaka station. Nothing. A little out of the way to city centre. Nothing but if I must, the family room of 3 beds we had was a tad too cramp but comfortable none the less.
