  Nikko Park Lodge Mountainside was a really cosy, quiet and convenient place to stay, not to mention really friendly. It was away from the main street in a beautiful wooded area and yet still only a 10 minute short jaunt down to the main station area (or there was a shuttle bus provided for people with less motivation than us!).   The best thing about this B&B is the relaxing bath with glass windows overlooking the river -this is not a real onsen, i.e., the water is not from a hot spring, but it is good. I also appreciated that the room had an ensuite bathroom+toilet, which is not always the case in Japanese B&Bs. The breakfast is not too rich (basically toast, fruits and a boiled egg), but it was big enough to fill, and the lady who prepared it was really nice too. I still recommend it. Take the bus to see Kegan Fall, it is beautiful.

  Awesome place! The lady that runs the place is very nice. Order dinner, you won't regret! Room is big and nice. The hotel is right next to a river, which makes your sleep very pleasant.There's an indoor hot bath which is very nice. If you have a lot of baggage we would propose to catch a taxi from the station to the hotel it will cost you 710 yen ... what people say » and will save you wandering until you get there. Once you're in the hotel it is very easy to access the center and the stations. - The guesthouse is well located, clean inside and quite, the owner friendly and helpful and the hot spring bath was great, looking out on the forest with the sound of a rushing stream nearby.

  It is marvelous small hotel in beautiful town called Nikkó. The owners - Sizuo and his wife Keiko are perfect, very kind and helpful people, they are very hospitable, they answer you at all your questions about interesting places. Everything was perfect at the hotel - traditional rooms, tatami floors, tea invitation. We also had perfect traditional japan breakf - Its was my first time to stay in Japanese home-stay guest room, and I have wonderful experience with Rindou. Sizuo San is a friendly owner, he has well prepared the room with the heather as well as the hot tea when I have arrived. He picked me when I arrived at the station.   An increadibly great place! Typical Japanese-style rooms. Very clean and very quiet, a paradise after coming from Toyko. In foot-walking distance to the train stations and also to the sightseeing spots, although there are busses. And the owner, Yuji-San, is the most friendly and kindest hotel owner I ever met in my life, although I travelled a lot... what people say » in usa and Europe. Yuji-san was so kind to bring me in his car to an Onsen in the mountains, a small place without tourists.
