Very friendly staff - knowledgeable and helpful and really kind.
We've stayed in 4 hotels over the past 10 days in Japan and this is easily the best; much better than the place we stayed in Kyoto for 1.5 times the price. If you want to visit Kyoto AND Nara, just stay here and do a day trip

One of the best places that we stayed at. Incredibly cheap, and absolutely amazing value for the price. The room was really cute and cozy and the futons were really comfy. The wifi was good and reliable, and they also had desktops and printers available in the common room, as well as free reading material, tea and coffee facilities, maps and a kitchen. It's really close to the station - within walking distance, even with large and heavy suitcases. The staff there were what really made our stay

The location was great being walking distance from train station and yet near to the parks.
Alot of amentities around the hotel - restaurants, supermarkets.
The Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and managed to get a kid size bike for my girl.
We enjoyed to common hotbath where we are provided with Japanese gown to use.

I ♥ the deer park inn. Wish i could have stayed longer. This is a brand new and truly fantastic establishment. In the heart of nara deer park. Clean. Affordable. Comfortable. Very reasonably priced. Really well appointed and lovely welcoming staff. This hostel/inn is the embodiment of modern japanese aesthetics. We got in very late and takeshita-san kindly waited up for us. The host was very helpful and went the extra mile for me. I misplaced my itinerary at the Nara tourist information office. She went down to the office to retrieve it for me. I was very touched! She also baked delicious cream puff for supper and made excellent breakfast. Wonderful service indeed.

I like the fact that when we had some last minute change of plans, the receptionist helped us instantly in cancelling the last night of our stay (we stayed for 5 nights) as we opted to go to another city for our last 2 days. I would also like to thank the receptionist who assisted me in informing the staff of the next hotel of our arrival. -

After checkout, we were able to leave our bags, rent some bikes from the hotel, and bike around the city until our departure later that day. Great way to explore the city (although close to Nara park it gets a bit too crowded to ride the bike).
