We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. This hotel was located right next to the Castle & the a- Bomb Peace Park, as well as the main city centre, & our room had a perfect view of the castle. Metro stations next to the hotel & easy access to th.
all reviews » We spent one night at this hotel. Great location - close to the A-bomb dome and Peace Park, Hiroshima Castle and shops. Staff were so friendly and efficient. I asked for a room high up with a view of the castle (and got it). Corner room with 270 degree views. It was magic and the room was spacious compared to anything else we had stayed at in Japan. We didn't eat at the hotel - but found places close by for dinner and breakfast. The Staff were very helpful at all times, and the room was fantastic. We were given an upgrade from the small double room I had originally booked to a very large and comfortable room on a much higher floor with a great view. Close to everywhere and easy to get around as the subway and tram system are very close. Excellent location, close to the main shops and Memorial park. English speaking staff, easy access to taxis, large rooms, large bathrooms, great views from the higher floors. If I go back to Hiroshima I won't bother looking at other hotels if thus one is free fir the period I'm there. Absolutely fantastic hotel. The staff were highly professional and the room was enormous by Japanese standards. We were lucky to get a corner room, so the view from out large window overlooked both Hiroshima Castle and the Genbaku Peace Dome. Very happy with the hotel. Well situated for main tourist areas. Poor breakfast buffet, considering the price (JPN 2360 ?). Room size is quite small. Restaurants and bars are relatively expensive, as was the room rate. Internet connection in the business centre was very slow. Restaurants very expensive and difficult to explain to staff our needs - very frustrating I would not recommend guests to dine there. nothing. No wifi!. location. -spa & fitness on exorbitant extra fee only -to get a table at the bar you pay Yen 1000 extra pp.
